The Shakespeare Theatre Company is preparing to welcome fully vaccinated patrons back for the 2021/22 Season.

Chicago Shakespeare Theater announces the return of in-person performances at the Theater’s home on Navy Pier with the much-awaited debut of As You Like It infused with the hit songs of The Beatles, beginning October 6, 2021. 

Shakespeare Theatre Company's Artistic Director SIMON GODWIN announced the Company's 2021/22 Season in a virtual townhall meeting for season subscribers, donors, Board members, and STC staff. The Tony theatre will resume live performances in September with a season that will showcase 'vivacious stories, audaciously shared' explains Godwin.

Seattle Rep today announced new casting for its third Plays In Process installment, set to feature a fresh and relevant new translation of the Ibsen masterpiece Ghosts. The Plays in Process program offers audiences a behind-the-scenes look at the development of new works on the horizon for Seattle Rep.

Theater of War Productions will create a new hybrid physical/digital model of performance and discussion, with support from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, which has just awarded the acclaimed social impact company a $1 million grant.

After premiering at the Venice Film Festival in September, “Nomadland” won the Golden Lion. It then went on to win the People’s Choice Award at the Toronto International Film Festival, making it the first film to ever win the top prize at both festivals

On its heels is the second installment premiering February 25, featuring another new work on the horizon for Seattle Rep – a fresh and relevant new translation of one of Henrik Ibsen’s most vivid and controversial masterpieces, Ghosts.

NJTF and HTII in association with the New York Library for the Performing Arts, is honoring International Holocaust Remembrance Day, 1/27/2021, by showcasing the Laboratory for Global Performance and Politics original production of Remember This: The Lesson of Jan Karski, starring Oscar-Nominated actor David Strathairn.

SHADOWLAND STAGES today announced that the theatre will present a special online benefit reading of CHRISTMAS EVE 1953, a short story by Tom Hanks that has been adapted for the stage by SHADOWLAND STAGES' artistic associate, James Glossman.

This 2020/2021 season at Syracuse Stage is obviously starting out a little different than usual as theaters all over are adapting to how they present stories to their audiences. Syracuse Stage opens its season with two productions available online (both free of charge). Syracuse Stage has partnered with more than 75 theaters across the country to broadcast a radio adaptation, produced by Berkeley Repertory, of Sinclair Lewis’ 1930s politically charged novel It Can’t Happen Here.

Roundabout Theatre Company hosted a Theatre Talk on It Can't Happen Here, a radio play streaming from Berkeley Rep.

On Tuesday, October 13 a radio production of Sinclair Lewis' novel It Can't Happen Here will broadcast at 5PM PDT/8PM EDT via YouTube. Written in 1935 during the rise of fascism in Europe, Lewis' darkly satirical It Can't Happen Here follows the ascent of a demagogue who becomes president of the United States by promising to return the country to greatness.
