BAM has announced details on its 2024 DanceAfrica festival, The Origin of Communities / A Calabash of Cultures, a dynamic celebration of the rich tapestry of African arts and culture, with a focus on the traditions and contemporary innovations of Cameroon, affectionately known as 'Little Africa.'

In the smash hit musical 'The Producers,' veteran producer Max Bialystock explains to his accountant/new producing partner Leo Bloom the step by step instructions of producing a Broadway show. He advised to find the worst play ever written, hire the worst actors in town, find the worst director in town, and finally open on Broadway. Luckily, the Argyle Theatre in Babylon Village did just the opposite. The Off-Broadway musical, A Letter to Harvey Milk, released its digital cast album on May 22 in honor of Harvey Milk's birthday, it is available now, in stores at a date TBA.

The musical, A LETTER TO HARVEY MILK, will host Los Vegas shooting survivor, Ashley Hoff on Thursday, May 24 at 7pm. She will be part of a post- show talkback.

Broadway's Philip Hoffman will play the role of Harry Weinberg in the musical A Letter to Harvey Milk through May 27. The musical extended its run at through June 30, 2018 and will release its cast album on May 22 (Harvey Milk's birthday) at Theatre Row's Acorn Theatre (410 W 42 Street) through June 30,2018.
