Yangtze Repertory Theatre has revealed the newest members of Project YZ, the company’s AAPI Artist Residency program.

Luke Combs has added second nights to his sold-out stadium shows in Tampa, Charlotte, Foxborough, and Philadelphia. Special guests for the new dates include Lainey Wilson, Turnpike Troubadours, The Avett Brothers, Gary Allan, Old Crow Medicine Show, David Lee Murphy and Brent Cobb.  

Julien's Auctions, the acclaimed auction house to the stars, held on Friday, May 19th and Saturday, May 20th the industry's premiere music auction event 'MUSIC ICONS,' featuring a spectacular line-up of over 1,200 pieces of music history from rock royalty owned and used by the likes of Kurt Cobain, Nirvana, Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Michael Jackson, Eddie Van Halen, Alex Lifeson, and more.

Pasadena Playhouse’s Sondheim Celebration production of  A Little Night Music, directed by David Lee with choreography by Mark Esposito and musical supervision by Darryl Archibald, is in its final two weeks, and must close Sunday, May 28. 

Part of its Stephen Sondheim Celebration this spring, “A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC” is another triumph for the Pasadena Playhouse, following up the sublime “Sunday in the Park with George.”

Vivid Stage, in residence at Oakes Center at 120 Morris Avenue in Summit, will present its annual Meet the Artist new play reading series on Wednesdays, May 3, 17, 24 and 31. All readings will take place at the Summit Public Library, 75 Maple Street, at 7 pm.

Metatheto Theatrical has announced the full cast for PlayAI at London's Riverside Studios, running this week on Friday 28 April 2023 and Saturday 29 April. 

The second mainstage production of Pasadena Playhouse’s six-month-long Sondheim celebration A Little Night Music opens April 30, 2023 (with previews beginning April 25th). David Lee directs this 50th anniversary production of A Little Night Music with a cast of 19, accompanied by a full-sized orchestra.  Jodi Long, who plays Madame Armfeldt, took some time to answer a few of my queries.

Bucks County Playhouse Youth Company will remount their original production Alien8 this summer!

Celebration Theatre, in association with the Los Angeles LGBT Center, will present a brand new look at the William Finn musical, A NEW BRAIN,  music and lyrics by William Finn.

The scene is a fishing lodge in rural Georgia often visited by “Froggy” LeSueur, a British demolition expert who occasionally runs training sessions at a nearby army base. This time “Froggy” has brought along a friend, a pathologically shy young man named Charlie who is overcome with fear at the thought of making conversation with strangers. So “Froggy,” before departing, tells all assembled that Charlie is from an exotic foreign country and speaks no English. Once alone the fun really begins, as Charlie overhears more than he should—the evil plans of a sinister, two-faced minister and his redneck associate; the fact that the minister’s pretty fiancée is pregnant; and many other damaging revelations made with the thought that Charlie doesn’t understand a word being said. That he does fuels the nonstop hilarity of the play. FCM Hospitality has announced exciting changes coming to Craft Hall - starting with the launch of Craft Hall Live that kicks off with a new weekly Tribute Band Series.

Inspired by those early influences, Worthington began honing his craft as a performer and a songwriter in his mid-teens, graduating as he grew and bringing pure country devotion to writing rooms alongside Roger Springer, Monty Holmes, Nick Walsh, Robert Arthur, David Lee Murphy, Wyatt McCubbin, Jake Doucet, Jessi Alexander, and many more.

During a morning kick-off event, Bucks County Playhouse has announced the titles and directors for its 2023 season, which will officially launch May 19. This is the Playhouse’s 84th season, and the 11th since reopening in 2012.

The New York Pops 40th Birthday Gala concert, This One's For You: The Music of Barry Manilow, on Monday, May 1, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. in Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall will feature 26 participants from the orchestra's Kids on Stage program.
