Prime Cut Productions Announce Further Details For REMOVED

Prime Cut Productions has announced further details for Removed, a brand new play inspired by interviews with young people growing up in care in Northern Ireland, created in collaboration with playwright Fionnuala Kennedy and Voice Of Young People In Care (VOYPIC), and in association with Young at Art. Removed will receive its world premiere at Belfast Children's Festival on Saturday 9 March and run from 07 to 16 March 2019 at the Brian Friel Theatre.

The Soho Playhouse proudly presents Blanket Fort Entertainment's New York premiere of DR. JEKYLL & MR. HYDE, written by Burt Grinstead and Anna Stromberg, and directed by Anna Stromberg, as part of the Fringe Encore Series, running Off-Broadway from December 6 - 15, 2018. Caledonia Productions Head Patrick Daly To Serve As Overseeing Consultant Across All Theatrical Projects For EON Productions

Producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, EON Productions today announced they have hired film, television, and theater producer, Patrick Daly, as Overseeing Consultant, in charge of production and development across all theatrical projects. Independent of his work with EON Productions, Daly will continue to run the company he launched last year, Caledonia Productions, in producing and developing its own upcoming slate of stage and screen projects.

David Harrower's celebrated 2005 play, Blackbird, is coming to Atlanta this August at The Robert Mello Studio Blackbox. The Tony-nominated play, which The New York Times called 'gorgeous' and 'unsettling,' tells the story of Una, a young woman, who shows up at the office of Ray, her former lover, who, after having been imprisoned at the age of 40 for his illicit relationship with the 12-year-old Una, has tried to make a new life for himself. A new name. A new relationship. But when Una pops up 15 years later to rehash the details of their former love affair after seeing his picture in a trade magazine, Ray's carefully constructed new life begins to collapse. BroadwayWorld recently caught up with The Walking Dead star Jayson Warner Smith to chat about his turn as Ray in the self-produced run.
Hollywood Fringe Hit DR. JEKYLL & MR. HYDE Set for Extended Run

The Los Angeles LGBT Center's Lily Tomlin/Jane Wagner Cultural Arts Center and Blanket Fort Entertainment have announced an extended run of the 2018 Hollywood Fringe Festival breakout hit Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde. Nominated for six HFF Awards including Best Comedy, winner of the 2CentsTheatre Award for Distinctive Voices, and winner of the SoHo Playhouse (NYC) Fringe Encore Series Award, this genre-bending thriller had its world premiere at the Los Angeles LGBT Center's Davidson/Valentini Theatre and returns for 10 performances only, July 12 through July 29.
Shakespeare & Company Presents Strindberg's CREDITORS

Shakespeare & Company presents August Strindberg's dark comedy Creditors, adapted by critically acclaimed playwright David Greig and directed by Nicole Ricciardi of last season's hit show 4000 Miles. In this production of what Strindberg calls his 'most mature work,' three characters must face their past, confronting love, debt, and deception. Performances run from July 19 - August 12 in the Elayne P. Bernstein Theatre.

'Blackbird,' is currently being presented at the Sargent Theatre at the American Theatre of Actors. In the play written by David Harrower, Una, a 27 year old woman, shows up at the workplace of an acquaintance, 'Peter', with an axe to grind. Fifteen years earlier, they had a relationship which had ended abruptly. At the time, Peter (or as Una knows him, Ray) was 40.

The Los Angeles LGBT Center's Lily Tomlin/Jane Wagner Cultural Arts Center has announced the world premiere of Hoodwinked, an original play created for the 2018 Hollywood Fringe Festival. Preview performances begin June 2, at 6:30pm with opening set for Saturday, June 9, at 8pm at the LGBT Center's Davidson/Valentini Theatre.

The Donmar Warehouse presents an arresting new stage adaptation of Muriel Spark's iconic novel The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie by Scottish playwright David Harrower, in the 100th anniversary year of Muriel Spark's birth. The production will star Lia Williams in the title role, with rising talent Rona Morison, alongside a cast including Nicola Coughlan, Emma Hindle, Edward Mackliam, Grace Saif, Sylvestra Le Touzel, Helena Wilson, Angus Wright and Kit Young. The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie will be directed by Polly Findlay, who returns to the Donmar following her acclaimed production of Limehouse.
