Bloomingdale School of Music's first virtual community concert and spring benefit Bloomingdale ONLINE on April 16, 2020 raised more than $30,000 in support of the school's Student Scholarship Fund. The evening was broadcast via Zoom to an audience of several hundred live viewers throughout the country.

The Tyler Clementi Foundation was honored at Moving with the Spirit, a dramatic performance and fundraiser organized by the Gay Fellowship at Blessed Sacrament Church. The event was be a celebration of New York City Pride Week and the 50th Anniversary of the Stonewall riots.

Come celebrate the legendary American composer Joan Tower. Regarded as one of the most important American composers living today, Joan Tower will join Bloomingdale School of Music faculty members violinist Claudia Schaer, bassoonist Gili Sharett and pianist Marc Peloquin in a celebration of her birthday and a tribute to her unique and beautiful artistry. Joan Tower has made lasting contributions to musical life for the past half century. With her iconic Silver Ladders, she was the first woman to win the prestigious Grawemeyer Award, and the recording of her Made In America won three different Grammy awards.

Bloomingdale School of Music is pleased to continue its Faculty Focus Performance Series with a solo concert by piano faculty member Nuno da Silva Marques in a program devoted to the works of the great pianist/composers Frederic Chopin, Enrique Granados and Sergei Rachmaninov. Their music for piano as well as their own virtuosity at the instrument influenced generations of composers and pianists. The concert will be held in the David Greer Recital Hall located at the school's home site at 323 West 95th Street, between Broadway and Riverside Drive in Manhattan. Seating is limited.
Bloomingdale School of Music (BSM) is pleased to continue its mini-series celebrating the music of women composers with a concert entitled, The Music of Rebecca Clarke on Friday, March 9th at 7:00 pm. This free concert will be held at the David Greer Recital Hall at the school's home site at 323 West 108th Street in Manhattan. Seating is limited. Led by BSM piano faculty member Tim McCullough and joined by mezzo soprano Lara Nie and violist Ann Roggen, the program shines a spotlight on the music of the English/American composer Rebecca Clarke and features vocal settings of poems by William Shakespeare and William Blake as well as the epic Viola Sonata.
