May 28, 2019 Tampa Repertory Theatre has announced the slate for its 9th full season, kicking off in September 2019. Performances will be held at the HCC-Ybor Studio Theatre or at Studio 120 on the University of South Florida campus. The first night of each production is a paid preview performance.

Tampa Repertory Theatre will present Aaron Posner's rich seriocomedy Stupid f**king Bird, sort of adapted from The Seagull by Anton Chekhov. Performances are May 31-June 16, 2019 (with a paid preview performance on May 30) on the USF campus in Studio 120, 3837 USF Holly Drive, Tampa, at 8 PM on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, and at 3 PM on Sundays. NBC has renewed its highly successful freshman drama series “Manifest” for a second season.

Broadway's Falsettos and RENT's Tracie Thoms will appear on iHeartRadio/United Broadcasting Network's On the Rocks with Alexander radio show, Tuesday January 8th at 7pmPST/10pmEST for an in-depth chat about her career in stage, TV and film.

 Vulture today announced additions to the lineup for its second annual Vulture Festival Los Angeles Presented by AT&T, a weekend of high-profile events bringing the entertainment site to life, and an expansion of the pop-culture extravaganza that has taken place in New York City for the last five years. Vulture Festival Los Angeles's lineup includes actors in conversation, exclusive screenings, cast reunions, live podcasts, a comedy show, table reads, a private museum tour, and more, taking place November 17–18, primarily at the iconic Hollywood Roosevelt in Los Angeles, with select events at other venues. Additional events will be announced in the coming weeks.

ABC is set to adapt the Israeli series “The Baker and the Beauty,” according to Variety. The network has given a put pilot commitment to an American adaptation.

NBC has ordered three more episodes of the hit freshman drama “Manifest,” has received three more episodes from NBC.  This brings the episode count for season one up to 16. 

Tuesday, August 28, NBC unveiled the first act of the upcoming supernatural thriller “Manifest” to coincide with the series' fictitious Montego Air Flight 828.  “Manifest” will premiere Monday, September 24 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.

Acclaimed box office star, producer and humanitarian Richard Gere will open the 34th edition of Miami Dade College's Miami Film Festival on March 3, 2017, followed by an Opening Night Gala screening of his new film, Norman: The Moderate Rise and Tragic Fall of a New York Fixer, directed by 2-time Oscar-nominated Israeli filmmaker Joseph Cedar, with the KORBEL Opening Night Party to follow at Miami's Historic Alfred I.
