The OBIE-winning HERE announces the line-up for CULTUREMART 2014, taking place January 28 - February 9. In CULTUREMART, process becomes the focus, as this annual festival offers a first look at live performance work in various stages of development from the boundary-breaking artists in the HERE Artist Residency Program (HARP) on their journey to mainstage productions. CULTUREMART 2014 serves up 13 adventurous workshop performances of new hybrid work that blurs the lines between theater, dance, music, multimedia, puppetry and visual art. A HERE Artist Residency Program (HARP) and Dream Music Puppetry Program presentation, The Pigeoning plays today, December 3 - 22 in the Dorothy B. Williams Theatre at HERE (145 Sixth Avenue, just below Spring Street). Official Opening Night is Wednesday, December 4 at 7:00pm.

Acting royalty visits THEATER TALK this week, with the appearance of two British living legends, Dame Eileen Atkins and Sir Michael Gambon, currently in New York through December 8 with the first-ever theatrical staging of playwright Samuel Beckett's 1957 radio play, All That Fall. This episode of THEATER TALK, co-hosted Michael Riedel of the New York Post and producer Susan Haskins, premieres in the New York metropolitan area Friday, Nov. 29 (2013) at 1 AM (Saturday morning) on Thirteen/PBS, and continues on CUNY TV* Saturday at 8:30 PM, Sunday at 12:30 PM, and Monday at 7:30 AM, 1:30 PM, and 7:30 PM.

Gingold Theatrical Group's SHAW NEW YORK 2013 festival concludes on Sunday October 13th. It has been highlighted by GTG's co-production of Shaw's You Never Can Tell with and at The Pearl Theatre Company. This production, which was filmed for the New York Library for the Performing Arts and Lincoln Center archives, is ending its limited run on Sunday October 13th.

HERE begins its 2013-2014 producing season with the premiere of the site-specific Artistic Director production, Trade Practices, by Kristin Marting & David Evans Morris. Trade Practices, a new work exploring the notion of 'value' against the backdrop of the booms and busts of the past decade, is set to play October 18 - November 3. Official Opening Night is set for Tuesday, October 22 at 7:00pm. Trade Practices will take place at a site in lower Manhattan's Financial District; address to be announced.

Four theater artists will be honored by the Henry Hewes Design Awards Committee during the presentation of its 2013 Awards in a luncheon ceremony scheduled for October 21. Mimi Lien(Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812), Ann Roth (The Nance), Jane Cox (The Flick) andPeter Nigrini (Here Lies Love) will be honored with 2013 Henry Hewes Design Awards. Each of the four is receiving his or her first Henry Hewes Design Award. For the 2013 honors, 84 theater artists were nominated for outstanding artistry in 55 productions presented during the 2012-2013 New York theater season. The Pearl Theatre Company kicks off its 30th anniversary season-the second season in its new home on West 42nd Street-with the first New York revival in 15 years of George Bernard Shaw's You Never Can Tell in a co-production with the Gingold Theatrical Group that is directed by David Staller. Running today, September 3-October 13, the show's sumptuous costumes, elegant settings and Shavian wit will raise a champagne toast to a year of celebration at The Pearl, where Shaw, following Shakespeare, has been the second most produced playwright in The Pearl's history. The production is also the centerpiece of the Shaw New York 2013 festival.

The critically acclaimed revival of Horton Foote's American masterpiece, THE TRIP TO BOUNTIFUL, will host a special free talkback following the performance on Wednesday evening, August 14th. Focusing on the creative process of THE TRIP TO BOUNTIFUL, this one-night only event will feature stars VANESSA WILLIAMS, CUBA GOODING JR, TOM WOPAT and ADEPERO ODUYE and will be moderated by writer and critic, CARYN JAMES. All ticket holders for the evening performance on August 14th are invited to stay for the talkback. THE TRIP TO BOUNTIFUL talkback series kicked off last week with a panel featuring Betty Buckley, Ellen Burstyn, and Hallie Foote as they discussed the appeal and challenges of appearing in a Horton Foote play.

ADEPERO ODUYE will assume the role of Thelma in the critically acclaimed revival of Horton Foote's American masterpiece, THE TRIP TO BOUNTIFUL, on Tuesday, July 16th. Oduye is best known for her acclaimed breakout role in Dee Ree's Sundance film, Pariah, and for her performance opposite Queen Latifah, Alfre Woodard and Phylicia Rashad in the Lifetime Television movie, Steel Magnolias. Condola Rashad, who also co-starred with Oduye in Steel Magnolias, played her final performance as Thelma on Sunday, July 14.
