New York Theatre Workshop has announced its artistic and operational plans for the 2020/21 season.

Pivot Arts, which celebrates adventurous, multidisciplinary performance, is a?oepivotinga?? in the presentation of its eighth annual Pivot Arts Festival, in response to restrictions due to COVID-19. For this year's Festivala?"subtitled a?oeThis is How We Pivota??a?"performances originally scheduled at venues in Chicago's Uptown and Edgewater neighborhoods are shifting to online presentations premiering June 5a?"11, with content remaining available through June 30 at pivotarts.org/festival. Live events are postponed to future dates that will be announced.

Nominations for the 35th Annual Lucille Lortel Awards for Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway were announced today by theatre veterans Jeremy Jordan and Ashley Spencer. The Awards will be presented during a special online event on Sunday, May 3, broadcast on the official website - www.LortelAwards.org - beginning at 7:00pm ET. A virtual 'host' and presenters will be announced at a later date. As always, the Lortel Awards will be a benefit for The Actors Fund and fans are encouraged to make donations at actorsfund.org/Lortel. Clubbed Thumb's off-Broadway musical Tumacho will play its final performance tonight amid the Covid-19 outbreak. The company has announced that future performances have been canceled. '

Just last night, Off-Broadway's The New Group honored its Board President Abby Merrill and Erica Schmidt and Peter Dinklage (Cyrano) at the its Annual Gala, this year celebrating the company's 25th Anniversary.

The Orchard Project has announced its 2020 Gala, A TASTE OF SOMETHING NEW, occurring Monday, March 9, 2020 at the Prince George Ballroom and honoring the work of TONY-Award winning producers Kristin Caskey and Amanda Dubois, OBIE winning writer Kyle Jarrow, and TONY-winning tap legend Savion Glover.

Tony Award-nominated and five-time Obie Award-winning theater company Clubbed Thumb (Maria Striar, Producing Artistic Director; Michael Bulger, Associate Artistic Director; Quinn Metal Corbin, Advancement Director) announced that, due to popular demand, the return engagement of Ethan Lipton's TUMACHO, directed by Tony Award nominee Leigh Silverman will add one week of performances. First seen in the 2016 SUMMERWORKS season, TUMACHO began performances on February 17 and officially opened on Saturday, February 22 at the Connelly Theater (220 East 4th Street). Goodman Theatre Artistic Director Robert Falls has announced casting for his upcoming revival of Molly Sweeney by Brian Friel. In assuming the title role, Chicago favorite Kate Fry returns to the Goodman, following her recent appearance in Falls' production of The Winter's Tale. Joining Fry are stage and screen star Brendan Coyle (Downton Abbey), who returns to the Goodman following his triumphant appearance in last season's St. Nicholas by Conor McPherson, and Chicago's Christopher Donahue (Oedipus Rex at Court Theatre, Moby Dick at Lookingglass).

Currently in previews, a?oeUntil the Flooda?? will open at Center Theatre Group's Kirk Douglas Theatre on Wednesday, January 29 at 8 p.m. Written and starring Dael Orlandersmith and directed by Neel Keller, a?oeUntil the Flooda?? will continue through February 23.
