DISNEY JUNIOR DANCE PARTY Comes to Playhouse Square

'Disney Junior Dance Party On Tour,' presented by Pull-Ups is extending its high-energy interactive tour, taking the immersive live concert experience designed for kids and families into some of the biggest markets in the US. The tour will make a Saturday, October 20 stop at Playhouse Square's KeyBank State Theatre for a 4:30 pm performance. Tickets go on sale Fri., April 27 at 10 am, priced at $55, $45, $35 & $25, available at playhousesquare.org, 216-241-6000 and the Playhouse Square Ticket Office.

'Disney Junior Dance Party On Tour' Presented by Pull-Ups is extending its high-energy interactive tour, taking the immersive live concert experience designed for kids and families into some of the biggest markets in the US. With most of the initial dates sold out and second shows being added in multiple markets, the 90-minute concert that brings the beloved characters from the #1 preschool television network's hit series to life is adding 50 new shows starting in September.

The 40th Annual Chicago Jazz Festival Announces Full Lineup

The Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE) is pleased to announce the 40th Annual Chicago Jazz Festival will be hosted from August 24–September 2 in Millennium Park, the Chicago Cultural Center (78 E. Washington St.) and at venues throughout the city. Among many featured headline guests, on September 1 Chicago native Ramsey Lewis will perform his last live performance in Chicago before his retirement. Slightly Stoopid Announces School's Out For Summer Tour

Yale Repertory Theatre (James Bundy, Artistic Director; Victoria Nolan, Managing Director) presents Father Comes Home From the Wars, Parts 1, 2 & 3 by Suzan-Lori Parks, directed by Liz Diamond, March 16-April 7, at the University Theatre (222 York Street). Opening Night is Thursday, March 22. Father Comes Home From the Wars, Parts 1, 2 & 3 is a co-production with San Francisco's American Conservatory Theater, where it will play April 25-May 20.

Parsons Dance Makes Folsom Debut at Harris Center, 3/6

Known for energized, athletic, and visually stunning ensemble work, Parsons Dance creates and performs contemporary American dance of extraordinary artistry. With work that has proven to be accessible and enriching to diverse audiences around the world, the company has collaborated with iconic artists across all disciplines, including Billy Taylor, Milton Nascimento, Allen Toussaint, William Ivey Long, Donna Karan, Annie Leibovitz, Rita Blitt and Alex Katz. Parsons Dance was founded by artistic director David Parsons and Tony Award-winning lighting designer Howell Binkley. In the July 27, 2007 issue of The New York Times, Jennifer Dunning called David Parsons "one of the great movers of modern dance." 

North Charleston Coliseum Celebrates Twenty-Five Years of Live Entertainment in 2018

On January 29, 1993, the Lowcountry entertainment scene changed forever. On this date, the North Charleston Coliseum opened its doors for the first time. The show was World Figure Skating Champions featuring Olympic champions Elizabeth Manley and Marina Klimova & Sergio Ponomarenko.  The next night, country music superstars Alan Jackson and Lorrie Morgan took the stage for the first concert in the Coliseum. Both shows had capacity crowds and the Lowcountry finally had a world class entertainment venue. In the years following, the biggest names in music and entertainment would make North Charleston a regular stop on their world tours.
