Bay Street Theater Announces FROST/NIXON As Second 2018 Mainstage Production

Bay Street Theater and Sag Harbor Center for the Arts is pleased to announce the cast and creative team for the second production in their 2018 Mainstage Season: FROST/NIXON, a new play by Peter Morgan, directed by Sarna Lapine. The production will run from June 26 - July 22, 2018. Single tickets are now on sale, and tickets are also still available as part of a Mainstage Subscription. ArtsEmerson and the American Repertory Theater present the world premiere of THE WHITE CARD by playwright and poet Claudia Rankine. The groundbreaking piece of theater begins a conversation and challenges us to stay in the room to talk about race in America. It suggests that society cannot progress if whiteness stays invisible and unexamined. At the end of the play, Act II encourages the audience to participate in the dialogue with facilitators guiding the process.

New this year will be the Gala's move to Saturday evening instead of Monday night as in past seasons. The Gala's theme, 'Moonlight Over Venice,' is a nod to the Playhouse's autumn production of 'Romeo and Juliet'.

World renowned Broadway Musical set designer and Multiple Tony Award / Drama Desk Award Winner Tony Walton joins The Encore for part of the summer! Mr. Walton is guest directing My Fair Lady, starring Jessica Grove and Daniel Gerroll, and co-directed By Daniel C. Cooney. MY FAIR LADY is now running through August 28, 2016. Walton and Grove worked together several times previously and Walton has referred to Jessica as 'his muse'. Tony Walton was also the first husband of Julie Andrews.
