The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham) announced the line-up today for the 2019 Free Shakespeare in the Park season, continuing a 57-year tradition of free theater in Central Park. Since 1962, over five million people have enjoyed more than 150 free productions of Shakespeare and other classical works and musicals at the Delacorte Theater. Conceived by founder Joseph Papp as a way to make great theater accessible to all, The Public's Free Shakespeare in the Park continues to be the bedrock of the Company's mission to increase access and engage the community.

Wheelock Family Theatre at Boston University's production will reveal the contemporary resonances of the Tony Award-winning musical, Ragtime, based on the novel by E.L. Doctorow with book by Terrence McNally, music by Stephen Flaherty, and lyrics by Lynn Ahrens. Performances will run Today, January 25th (Opening) through Sunday, February 17th with Todays at 7:30pm, Saturdays at 2pm and 7:30pm, and Sundays at 2 pm. Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director/CEO) is thrilled to announce the eighth annual Roundabout Underground Reading Series, a five-night event that includes nightly readings of new works written and directed by emerging artists, as well as post-show receptions. The Shakespeare Center of Los Angeles (SCLA) currently presents their new distinct take on Shakespeare's classic HENRY IV. Helmed by Tony Award-winning director Daniel Sullivan, SCLA has combined PART I and PART II into a single sitting of theatre, featuring the Los Angeles stage debut of Tom Hanks as Falstaff. We had the opportunity to chat with one of HENRY IV's most talented co-conspirators, actor Harry Groener who plays Northumberland and Justice Shallow.

New York City staple Roundabout Theatre Company has just announced that Tony & Emmy Award winner Stockard Channing will return to the New York stage in the Off-Broadway premiere of APOLOGIA, by Alexi Kaye Campbell (The Pride). APOLOGIA will be directed by three-time Obie Award winner Daniel Aukin (Bad Jews, Skintight). Channing returns to the role of "Kristin" in Apologia following an acclaimed run in London's West End in 2017.

The 16th Annual Garden State Film Festival is thrilled to welcome award-winning veteran actor Christopher Lloyd to their spectacular four-day 16th Anniversary event in Asbury Park this year from March 22-25th! Mr. Lloyd will be in on hand the entire weekend to support the East Coast debut of his new feature film 'Making A Killing,' a twisted modern-day crime mystery, based on a true story. The film is scheduled to screen on Saturday March 24th from 8:00-10:00 p.m. at the Jersey Shore Arts Center in Ocean Grove, after which Mr. Lloyd will be presented with GSFF's 'Beacon Award.'
