Playful Substance is putting its mark on Halloween. After the success of October 2016's Frank, a play by Grant Harris, we have decided to make October the kick off to our season of new works. Each October we will feature a new work that probes the darker corners of the human mind. In 2018, we will present the premiere of Grant Harris' new play, I Can Kiss Like Ted Bundy, which will have a 6 show run at The Kraine

Stanley Bahorek has joined the Theatre Department faculty at Five Towns College in Dix Hills, Long Island. Bahorek, a Former lecturer at the Yale Drama School, joins Department Chair David Kresner, former Head of Undergraduate Theater Studies at Yale, and Academy Award winner Milton Justice, also a former Yale professor. Professor Bahorek most recently appeared on Broadway in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and can be seen on the Emmy Award winning Netflix show Master of None. He will be directing the Fall musical production, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Playing November 15th through the 18th.
