Here are the Nominations for Outstanding Awards from the San Francisco Bay Theatre Area Critics Circle. Winners will from each catagory will be announced in approximately two weeks. A Gala Cocktail party will be held for the winners in each catagory at A.C.T. Columbia Room on May 4th. Delroy Lindo returns to Berkeley Rep - and to the play that made him a star - with a production of August Wilson's masterpiece, Joe Turner's Come and Gone. The show - which is about African Americans searching for their place in post-slavery America - opens this Wednesday 11/5, the day after this historic election. It runs through December 14.

American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) artistic director Carey Perloff today announced the final casting and design team for A.C.T.'s 30th anniversary production of Sam Shepard's classic interrogation of the American dream, Curse of the Starving Class

For its holiday feature, the San Jose Rep will present This Wonderful Life, a visually stunning stage adaptation of the 1946 Frank Capra classic film It's a Wonderful Life. In this theatrical twist, San Jose Rep's associate director Kirsten Brandt directs actor Dan Hiatt, who plays all 35 characters in a one-man tour de force. The show runs from Saturday November 24 through Sunday December 23 at the San Jose Repertory Theatre.

A co-production with California Shakespeare Theater, The Triumph of Love runs September 22 - October 21, 2007, at San Jose Repertory Theatre, located in downtown San Jose at 101 Paseo de San Antonio. Preview performances are September 22, 23, 26 & 27; Opening is Friday, September 28 at 8PM.
