BWW Review: SALON Throws a Sweet Sixteen Party at Don't Tell Mama

Tonight, SALON performed for the first time after sixteen months off. Even the threat of a tropical storm outside didn’t deter a good number of people from celebrating its return. This evening’s theme was threefold: “Welcome Back!,” “Sweet Sixteen” in honor of Salon’s 16th anniversary, and “Bernstein at 103” to celebrates the 103rd birthday of the great Leonard Bernstein. Tonight’s co-host was the much-awarded cabaret artist, Julie Reyburn.

New York City Center Announces 2021-22 Season, Including Encores! Runs of INTO THE WOODS, THE LIFE & THE TAP DANCE KID

New York City Center President & CEO Arlene Shuler today announced a full calendar of programming for the 2021 - 2022 season, reopening the landmark theater to the public in October 2021. BWW Review: VICTOR CUNO'S BROADWAY CABARET at Théâtre des Voyageurs

All through lockdown, many French musical theater performers have been lucky enough to be able to go on developing their craft, tapping their troubles away with master teacher Victor Cuno, who in turn took the opportunity to use their talents to create a new show, simply called Victor Cuno's Broadway Cabaret, showcasing many triple threats who took advantage of their time off from theater commitments to rehearse at Swing Tap Studio near Bastille in Paris. Beginning with a showstopping new version of 'Anything Goes', musical arrangement and choreography by Cuno himself. A delightful special event for the Maison de la Radio's '42ème rue fait son show' was performed last December, and Cuno decided to expand this success into a full show.

BWW Review: BILLY STRITCH at The West Bank Cafe

“Dinner music” is really too small a term for what Billy Stritch is doing at the West Bank Cafe. That implies something that’s occurring in the background. His smart jazz arrangements of classics from the Great American Songbook are very much front and center.
