Celebrate Juneteenth With The Antonyo Awards, JUNETEENTH JUBILEE and More Theater Events

Today is Juneteenth, the holiday which commemorates the end of slavery in America. To honor Black culture, theatre and more, arts organizations are presenting events including the inaugural Antonyo Awards, a celebration of the Black Broadway and Off-Broadway community; the Juneteenth Jubilee featuring LaChanze, Anastacia Mccleskey, and more.

La MaMa Has Announced Winter/Spring 2020 Season

La MaMa's 58th Season continues to celebrate the centennial of La MaMa's celebrated founder, the late Ellen Stewart with the announcement of its Winter/Spring lineup in its 58th season. The season features dozens of artists, playwrights, choreographers, directors, and award-winning theater companies and composers, including Elizabeth Swados, Anne Bogart, Noche Flamencia, Culture Hub, Hideki Noda/Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre, Nick Payne, En Garde Arts, Split Britches, and more.

La MaMa Will Present THE TROJAN WOMEN PROJECT FESTIVAL This December

On what would have been Ellen Stewart's 100th birthday, La MaMa has announced The Trojan Women Project Festival as part of its 58th season celebrating the centennial of La MaMa's celebrated founder, the late Ellen Stewart. The Festival will take place December 5, 2019 through December 15, 2019 at La MaMa ETC (66 East 4th Street).

Inaugural Rogue Lab Reading Series Showcases Seven New Plays by LA Playwrights

Award-winning artists' collective Rogue Artists Ensemble is thrilled to announce the Inaugural Rogue Lab Readings Series, a four-day event that includes readings of seven new works written, directed, and designed by emerging LA artists, as well as post-show discussions and receptions. The reading series will feature new plays by 2018-2019 Rogue Lab playwrights Lisa Sanaye Dring, Eric Fagundes, John Guerra, Mildred Inez Lewis, Chelsea Sutton, and Jennie Webb, and a special new play presentation by writing team Taylor Coffman and Z. Lupetin.
