East West Players will present the world premiere of The Great Jheri Curl Debate. Written by Inda Craig-Galván and directed by Scarlett Kim, The Great Jheri Curl Debate performs September 15 through October 9, press night is September 17. 

Theatremakers and performers James Clements (he/him) and John Maria Gutierrez (he/they) will present a workshop presentation of 'Brothers in Arms' July 15th and 16th at 8pm, and July 17th at 3pm, at Culture Lab LIC's flagship Long Island City venue, the Plaxall Gallery.

James Clements (he/him) and John Maria Gutierrez (he/they) have awarded the 2022 Queens Arts Fund's Arts Access Grant from the Queens Council on the Arts for their upcoming presentation of 'Brother's in Arms' at Culture Lab LIC's home, the Plaxall Gallery, in Queens.

Each of the writers worked independently to generate dialogue and/or actions for two performers, one playing a 7-year-old and the other a 77-year-old. The non-linear tale that emerges is developed in collaboration with creative technologists, embodied by performance artist Agosto Machado and a puppet by Tom Lee, performed by Leah Ogawa and Maria Camia, and will explore interactivity and connection with the online audience.

Mabou Mines will present preview performances of The Vicksburg Project, May 11 - 15, May 18 - 22, May 25 - 29, 2022 (at Mabou Mines, 150 1st Avenue, Second Floor, New York), in anticipation of its premiere at Harlem Stage in 2023.
