It's nearly twenty years since Daniel Radcliffe first tried to throw off the Harry Potter shackles in the 2007 version of Peter Shaffer’s 1973 play Equus. Now director Lindsay Posner has revived Shaffer's deeply traumatic story about the fluctuating relationship between a psychiatrist, Dr Dysart, and a teenage boy, Alan Strang. Featuring a remarkable cast and exquisite visuals, this is one not to be missed.

Michael Abbensetts was the first Black writer to have a series commissioned by the BBC: the groundbreaking Empire Road, which had an almost entirely Black cast and crew. The Guyanese writer's work has been largely forgotten, so it seems appropriate that the National Theatre, with its important Black Plays Archive, has chosen to stage his play Alterations, not seen since 1978.

Today, 2 November, the National Theatre's award-winning production of War Horse will release over 300,000 new tickets for sale, taking bookings at the New London Theatre to 23 October 2010.
From 30 September 2009, a new cast of actors and puppeteers will join the National Theatre?s award-winning West End hit War Horse which is currently playing to packed houses at the New London Theatre. The National?s sell-out production of Nick Stafford?s adaptation of Michael Morpurgo?s book which transferred to the West End in March this year, has recently welcomed its 100,000th visitor to the New London Theatre. In June this year 150,000 new tickets were released for sale, taking bookings up to 12 February 2010.
Full casting is now confirmed for the West End Transfer of the National Theatre?s sell-out production of Michael Morpurgo?s War Horse, adapted by Nick Stafford. War Horse will run at the New London Theatre from 28 March booking until 26 September with press night on 3 April.
