Students and adult leaders will receive the state's most prestigious award in the arts, at the 40th Anniversary of the New Jersey Governor's Awards in Arts Education on June 26 at 5pm. This event will recognize 70 students and 15 adult leaders who have demonstrated excellence in and dedication to arts education.

Cicely Tyson will reprise her role as Ophelia Harkness, the mother of Annalise Keating (Viola Davis), for the final season of ABC's How to Get Away With Murder. According to Deadline, Anne-Marie Johnson is also set to recur in the second half of the sixth and final season.

Walnut Street Theatre (WST) continues its 211th season with Gore Vidal's thrilling political drama, THE BEST MAN. Directed by Broadway veteran Michael Wilson, the production begins previews on March 10, opens March 18, and continues through April 26 on the Walnut's Mainstage.
THE KING'S SPEECH Comes To Hartford Stage In March

Former Artistic Director Michael Wilson will return to Hartford Stage in March to direct the original play which inspired the Academy Award-winning film The King's Speech. Written by Academy Award-winning screenwriter David Seidler, the play tells the true story of King George VI, his speech therapist Lionel Logue, and a friendship that helped steer the course of history. The King's Speech will run Thursday, March 19, through Sunday, April 19.
BET Networks, NAACP Image Awards and ABFF Pay Tribute to the African American Community

In back-to-back events, the African American community comes together for a weekend celebrating Black excellence. On February 22, the 51st NAACP Image Awards airing live on BET Networks is the preeminent multicultural awards show from an African American point of view. It celebrates the accomplishments of people of color in the fields of television, music, literature and film and honors individuals or groups who promote social justice through creative endeavors. The next evening, the American Black Film Festival will host its annual awards season gala, ABFF Honors. The ceremony celebrates Black culture by recognizing individuals who have made distinguished contributions to American entertainment. The honorees being celebrated at ABFF Honors have leveraged their career to carve out a space for people of color in Hollywood helping to create a more diverse landscape. ABFF Honors is an opportunity for the industry to acknowledge how far entertainment has come and thank the individuals who have made it their mission to propel the African American community forward.

OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network revealed today the premiere date and official trailer for its new original anthology drama “Cherish the Day,” created and executive produced by Emmy winner/Academy Award nominee Ava DuVernay (“Queen Sugar,” “When They See Us”). “Cherish the Day” is set for a two-night premiere on Tuesday, February 11 at 10 p.m. ET/PT and Wednesday, February 12 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Tuesday night's premiere will be presented with limited commercials by Toyota Highlander. The eight-episode chapter will continue to air on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
