Anastasia holds a special place in my heart. The San Diego State University MFA Musical Theatre Program has launched an innovative two-year development program dedicated to fostering the creation of new musicals. The SDSU MFA New Musical Initiative was conceived with the idea of helping musical theatre writers develop a new work through a two-year process including a reading (fall 2018), a workshop (spring 2019) and a full production (spring 2020). After a competitive submission process, which saw over 120 new scripts and scores, the selection committee chose 'Til Death Do Us Part by Bobby Cronin and Caroline Prugh.

THE CAST announced today that six additional Broadway stars have joined the roster of the new digital agency focused squarely on brokering unique partnerships between today's top brands and Broadway's most powerful influencers. Rounding out the agency's "Leading Player" board will be Tony and Grammy Award-winners Billy Porter and Marissa Jaret Winokur along with recording artist Morgan James, Christy Altomare, Josh Strickland, and Andrew Chapelle.
The producers of Anastasia have announced that Cody Simpson has extended his engagement in the hit musical for eight additional weeks. Simpson made his Broadway debut as "Dmitry" on November 29, 2018 and will continue to star in the Broadway production through April 14, 2019.
