On Saturday, February 24, Shoshana Bean performed her album release show - Spectrum - at Ace Theater Downtown Los Angeles. Spectrum, Bean's fourth studio album which was released on February 9, is a fresh new take on the classic tradition of big band with arrangements by Grammy award-nominated arranger Alan Ferber.

The Heights Players of Brooklyn open their latest production tonight with 'A Man For All Seasons' by Robert Bolt, Directed by Elizabeth Bove. The historical drama marks their fourth production of this, their 62nd season. The play will be performed at the John Bourne Theatre.

Full casting was announced today for Pride Films and Plays' Chicago premiere of PERFECT ARRANGEMENT by Associate Artistic Director Derek Van Barham, who's directing the production. In Topher Payne's comedy, it's 1950, and new colors are being added to the Red Scare. Two U.S. State Department employees, Bob and Norma, have been tasked with identifying sexual deviants within their ranks. There's just one problem: Both Bob and Norma are gay, and have married each other's partners and moved next door to each other as a carefully constructed cover. Inspired by the true story of the earliest stirrings of the American gay rights movement, madcap classic sitcom-style laughs give way to provocative drama as two "All-American" couples are forced to stare down the closet door.

"The Unauthorized Musical Parody Of" hit series at Rockwell Table & Stage takes on the 2011 comedy blockbuster film "Bridesmaids" in what promises to be a raunchy, rollicking good time! The performance will be in a limited run from August 11 to September 17 2017, with shows Thursday thru Saturday at 8 p.m., and 12 noon on Sunday,  so get your tickets today!

Transcendence Theatre Company's popular Broadway Under the Stars show series will present "Fantastical Family Night" for two nights only July 14 and 15 in the 150-year old open-air Winery Ruins at Jack London State Historic Park in Glen Ellen.  Broadcast Music Inc. (BMI) the global leader in music rights management is proud to announce that BMI Vice President of Film, TV & Visual Media Relations, Doreen Ringer-Ross, composers Lolita Ritmanis, and Miriam Cutler will present its annual music scholarship at Berklee College of Music on November 14. The BMI sponsored scholarship will go to a film scoring student selected by the department on the basis of their demonstrated musical ability and potential for career success in film scoring. The scholarship presentation will include a luncheon for special guests and members of the media.

On Saturday, July 23 'Neighbors 2' star Seth Rogen celebrated the 34th birthday of his wife, Lauren Miller by inviting 50 of their closest friends to see The Unauthorized Musical Parody of Troop Beverly Hills housed at Rockwell Table & Stage in Los Angeles, CA. Both Seth and Lauren were seen dancing, cheering & laughing along as the cast performed to a creative musical score, which included hit songs from Whitney Houston, Madonna, and Cyndi Lauper. 

Pride Films and Plays will complete its fun summer in Mary's Attic with the world premiere of BITE: A Pucking Queer Cabaret, PFP Artistic Associate Derek Van Barham's immersive, pop-rock ode to A Midsummer Night's Dream. As Puck and the other fairies at Mary's prepare for a celebration, their world is rocked by news of a break-up between their King and Queen. When four mortals wander up the stairs, they get caught in a web of drinking and deception, as they become pawns in a magical game of love, 400 years in the making. Mary's Attic will be filled with music, dance, and fairies of all kinds, as BITE retells one of the Bard's beloved love stories through a queer lens.
