L!VE Asbury Park presents Hedwig and the Angry Inch. Chris Hall (Hedwig) and Kendal Hartse (Yitzhak) have signed on as the leads along side musicians Michael Thomas Murray, Mike Preen and Steve Kelly. Hedwig will run tonight, June 21 and June 22 & 23rd for five live performances at The Press Room, located at 610 Bangs Avenue in downtown Asbury Park.

Azuka Theatre is closing its season with the Philadelphia Premiere of Allison Moore's Hazard County. This 2005 Humana Festival piece will also mark the beginning of an annual program, The New Professionals. The show will be performed at Azuka's new home at the Off-Broad Street Theater at First Baptist Church, 1636 Sansom Street. The show starts previews June 14, opens Wednesday June 20 at 7 p.m., and closes Sunday July 1. Tickets cost $15-$27. Ars Nova today announced Killers on the Loose: The Songs of Leschen and Sauter. The twisted duo that hatched Bedbugs!!! (NYMF '08), brings its unique brand of dark humor, pop culture commentary and rock/pop storytelling to this concert of new work, including selections from their new grunge-rock inspired spectacular Karma Kills. This concert is part of Ars Nova's Uncharted initiative to develop and present new work from emerging musical theater artists.

On Friday, October 14, 2011 'Dateline' ranked #1 among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-34, women 18-34 and women 18-49 (tie) for its second hour from 10-11pm. And, versus the same night last year, 'Dateline' was up 25 percent in adults 18-49 and up 16 percent in total viewers according to Nielsen Media Research.

Paul Leschen (music) and Fred Sauter (Book and Lyrics), the downtown, terminally hip, vinyl-cool writing team first presented a reading of their sci-fi, thriller, rock musical BEDBUGS!!! on November 17th, 2007 at New York University's Black Box Theatre.

Eric Anderson (Broadway's South Pacific, the US tour of Camelot) will join the previously announced cast as Dexter, along with Donna Vivino (Wicked 1st Nat. Tour, Hairspray) as Mother, Jeff Hiller (Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson) as Tom Wansett, and Stephen Sheffer (NYMF's Bedbugs!!!) as Chad.

The New York Musical Theatre Festival smash hit BEDBUGS!!! will receive a long-awaited industry reading at Pearl Studios in NYC on Monday, January 17, 2011, at 3pm and 7pm. 80s rock excess meets the creature feature in this hilarious and extremely timely hard-rocking new musical by Paul Leschen and Fred Sauter, directed by Samuel Buggeln. These readings are open to the public and will feature Celina Carvajal (B'way: Cats, Dracula, Tarzan, 42nd St; Off-B'way: Rooms, Radiant Baby, Kinky Boots workshop, upcoming Diane Paulus/System of a Down musical Prometheus Bound) as tormented exterminator Carly; Brian Charles Rooney (Roundabout's The Threepenny Opera, Yale Rep's POP!) as Canadian chanteuse Dionne Salon; and Chris Hall (Revision Theatre's Rocky Horror Show), whose NYMF performance as Bedbug rock-god Cimex acquired cult-legend status.
