Marissa Rosen, Larry Daggett and More to Lead BEDBUGS!!! at the ATA Chernuchin Theatre

Casting is now complete for BEDBUGS!!!.  The new production of the NYMF smash hit with music by Paul Leschen (Twist Drama Desk nominee) and book and lyrics by Fred Sauter will infest the ATA Chernuchin Theatre October 19 through November 4, 2012.

The cast will be led by Marissa Rosen (My Big Gay Italian Wedding) with Larry Daggett (Ragtime), Ashanti J’Aria (Last Smoker in America), Nicholas Park (Dear Edwina), Trisha Rapier (Sister Act), Christopher BrIan Williams (Billy Elliot) and Ryan Williams (Evil Dead the Musical).

They will be joining Chris Hall and Brian Charles Rooney (The Threepenny Opera), previously announced, who will be reprising their roles from the 2008 New York Musical Theatre Festival production.

Girl meets bug in this original comedy sci-fi thriller rock musical.  BEDBUGS!!! follows the hilarious and heartbreaking story of Carly, a passionate, lone exterminator hell-bent on ridding New York City of its bloodsucking infestation down to the last hideous parasite.  Set to an ‘80s inspired, melodic rock score, BEDBUGS!!! will take audiences on a journey so fantastical they won’t even realize they’re in the throes of a bedbug apocalypse!
BEDBUGS!!! will be presented by Dale Joan Young (The Best is Yet to Come- Drama Desk Award) with direction and co-choreography by Robert Bartley (Broadway Backwards) and music supervision by Debra Barsha (Jersey Boys).  The production will feature costume design by Philip Heckman (Forbidden Broadway: Alive and Kicking), scenic design by Clifton Chadick, lighting design by Kirk Fitzgerald, sound design by Jason T. Hurley, and wigs, hair and make-up design by Bobbie Cliffton Zlotnik (Forbidden Broadway: Alive and Kicking.) Amy Jones serves as assoc. director/ co-choreographer.
The ATA Chernuchin Theatre is located at 314 West 54th Street, NYC.
Previews:  Fri., Oct. 19 at 8pm, Sat., Oct. 20 at 2pm and 8pm.
Official Opening: Sun., Oct. 21 7pm
Regular performances will be Wed, Thurs and Fri nights at 8pm, Saturdays at 2 and 8pm, Sundays at 5pm, October 24 through November 4, 2012.
