Eldridge Plays & Musicals has just published ASCAP award-winning writer Chip Deffaa's play 'Irving Berlin & Co.'   It's the final play in Deffaa's Irving Berlin cycle.

Stage Rights has just published--and will be licensing--ASCAP award-winner Chip Deffaa's 20th play, 'Say it with Music,' a celebration of  Irving Berlin.  The musical play was developed at Deffaa's base in New York, the 13th Street Repertory Theater (Joe Battista, Producing Artistic Director). 

Two dozen stars from Broadway, Off-Broadway, and the cabaret world are featured on the new album, 'I Must Have that Man,' being released today. A celebration of gay love, it features performers- both gay and straight alike- selected by ASCAP Award-winning writer/producer Chip Deffaa.

The album features Richard Danley--who's worked on most of Deffaa's shows and albums--as music director/pianist. Friends and admirers of Irving Berlin from New York's theater community--continuing a tradition they began back while Berlin was alive--recently gathered at his former home in New York City to remember him in song. They sang such Berlin classics as 'God Bless America,' 'White Christmas,' and 'Always,' complete with rarely heard verses. Berlin (1888-1989) composed the scores for 18 Broadway shows and 19 films. He wrote more standards and made more money than any of his colleagues in the Golden Aged of American Popular Music.
