On Tuesday, April 30th at 7:30pm, The University of North Alabama College of Arts and Sciences, Department of Entertainment Industry proudly presents RONALD RAND bringing to life Harold Clurman, 'the elder statesman of the American Theatre' in his internationally-celebrated solo play, LET IT BE ART! in the George S. Lindsey Theatre, in Florence, Alabama.

On June 25, The Resident Acting Company (www.racnyc.org), a new troupe drawn from the performing ensemble of The Pearl Theatre Company, will present a staged reading of 'The Big Night' (1928) by humorist Dawn Powell, a harsh, biting comedy about a woman whose husband has been fired from an advertising agency.  The play was the author's masterpiece but failed on Broadway in a production of The Group Theatre. The version to be offered is a restoration by Michael Sexton from the author's original notes and drafts.  It retains some of the Group Theatre's 'improvements' but includes the author's original ending.  The reading will be at 7:00 PM at The Players Club, 16 Gramercy Park South, directed by Bradford Cover, Artistic Director of the troupe.

Harold Clurman's Life of Passion' in Delhi at the prestigious Kamani Auditorium on February 25th, and at the Kalagram Theatre in Bangalore, India on February 27th, 2018.

The question of gender parity in the theatre is a matter that has long been explored within our community. While recent Broadway seasons have taken encouraging steps toward better female representation, both on and offstage, the question of gender equality within the theatre continues to be a hotly debated issue across the theatrical sphere.

The Actors Studio has announced that the 70th Season will kick off with a revival of Harold Pinter's acclaimed drama Old Times for a limited engagement of twenty performances only, beginning September 22nd and continuing through October 16th.

It's a special premiere event!  The ACTORS STUDIO will debut the new production of Harold Pinter's Old Times at The Ridgefield Playhouse before it heads to NYC for its Broadway run September 22 - October 15!

Gritty, passionate, funny and heartbreaking, Awake and Sing! by Clifford Odets continues to resonate 80 years after its 1935 premiere by the Group Theatre. Director Elina de Santos and lead actress Marilyn Fox return to the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble with a 20th anniversary revival of the smash Odyssey production that ran for nine months in 1994-95. Also returning from that production are Richard Fancy and Dennis Madden; the three will be joined onstage by David Agranov, Robert Lesser, Allan Miller, James Morosini, Melissa Paladino and Gary Patent. Awake and Sing! opens at the Odyssey Theatre on Sept. 26.
