Just how far a sister will go to keep her brother and his big eared white friend out of the public eye is the plot of the American comedy classic "Harvey." Presented as Possum Point Players' winter dinner theatre, "Harvey" opens Friday, Jan. 29.

EgoPo's THE WOMEN to Open 3/4

On March 4, EgoPo presents the opening of Clare Boothe Luce's comic masterpiece, The Women with an all-female cast of 19. Directed by Artistic Director Lane Savadove, EgoPo Classic Theater continues their season of influential female playwrights with Luce, a woman who led an extraordinary life as a Broadway playwright, war journalist, congresswoman, ambassador, and Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient. The Women previews March 3 and opens Friday, March 4. The show runs three weeks, closing on Sunday March 20. Tickets start at $25. All performances are at the Latvian Society of Philadelphia on 7th and Spring Garden.

New Light Theater Project (recently represented in New York with their acclaimed production of In The Soundless Awe) will present the New York City Premiere of Jared Reinmuth's MONTE CRISTO, an adaptation of Alexandre Dumas' 1844 classic adventure novel The Count of Monte Cristo. The production will be directed by award-winner Cailin Heffernan. Previews begin January 22 at Urban Stages with opening slated for January 28.

Star from the world of theater were recognized in several categories this year. For Best Actor in a Lead Role, Tony Award winner Bryan Cranston (ALL THE WAY) received a nod for TRUMBO. He shares the honor with last year's Oscar winner and Tony Award winner Eddie Redmayne (RED) for THE DANISH GIRL, and Michael Fassbender for STEVE JOBS.

Broadway Kids came together as a community of young artists in painting ceramic butterflies with The Butterfly Project to show the world that we must never forget how big our voices are and that each one of us makes a difference and we must take care of one another. Second Stage Theatre Will Honor Producer David Stone at 37th Anniversary Gala

Second Stage Theatre's 37th Anniversary Gala celebration will honor Producer DAVID STONE, celebrating his ongoing 12 year relationship with the Off-Broadway Company. The evening's Honorary Chair is James M. Nederlander and the Co-Chairs are Marc Platt, Patrick Catullo, and Nancy Coyne. The gala evening, which will be directed by James Lapine, will be held on Monday, May 2, 2016 at Cipriani 42nd Street. The evening's entertainment, which will feature stars who have appeared in Stone's productions over the years, will be announced at a later date. This is the first time Second Stage's annual gala will be honoring a Broadway producer.
