New Stories, New Settings
Scenic Design by BRIAN WATSON The set rendering above gives us a sneak peak of the Bridges set. The historical Edmund Pettus Bridge on the left represents 1965 Selma, and the iconic Golden Gate Bridge represents 2008 Oakland. Moving and still images will be projected upon the bridges to blend time, tone, and mood. It's been many years in the process, originally conceived by Founding Artistic Director Elizabeth McKoy, the musical was commissioned by Berkeley Playhouse in 2012.
Cheryl L. Davis and Douglas J. Cohen make a great team!
