Chicago Children's Theatre's announced today a three-week extension of its current smash hit musical, Leo Lionni's Frederick.

On Sunday, October 14th, 2018, friends, all of whom are either dancers, choreographers, directors or actors, or all combined, that have had the honor to work with or befriend him, gathered at The Performing Arts Center in Los Angeles, CA, owned by Joe Malone and Nanci Hammond Malone, two superb dancers/teachers that donated their facility for this event, to honor, reminisce and celebrate Alan's wondrous life and career.

Forget about those whiny, cry-baby Walking Dead fans and the increasing din of their lamentations regarding the imminent demise of Rick Grimes from their universe and instead focus your attention and horror film-inspired energies on Evil Dead, The Musical - a wickedly wild and ridiculously off-kilter send-up of the genre - now onstage in a terrifically entertaining, if uneven, production from Radical Arts, the little theater company who, for all intents and purposes, can.

Audiences should approach Stick Fly, with the expectation that they will not understand all of it, fully grasp any character's motives or thoughts and/or playwright Lydia R. Diamond's position on many of the issues she aerates - and that that's okay. The fun is in just watching it happen.

Walking dead. Live music. Madcap comedy. Mix them together in a quaint theatre, add a splatter zone, and you have a recipe for an unusually entertaining night.

Out of the Box Theatrics, Founder and Producing Artistic Director Elizabeth Flemming, Associate Artistic Director Ethan Paulini present a brand new revival of Into the Woods. The classic musical features music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by James Lapine. Ethan Paulini will direct. Marisa Kirby choreographs with music direction by Anessa Marie.

University Theatre is pleased to present the Central Valley premiere of 'Just Like Us' by Karen Zacarias, based on the novel by Helen Thorpe. The production is directed by Dr. Gina Sandi-Diaz and runs October 26 - November 3, 2018 in the Dennis & Cheryl Woods Theatre in the Speech Arts building on the campus of Fresno State.

Kansas City Repertory Theatre continues its 2018/19 season with a 38-year holiday tradition, Charles Dickens' A CHRISTMAS CAROL, running November 16 through December 30 at Spencer Theatre on the UMKC campus.

Seven-time Grammy winner Toni Braxton will be taking her “As Long As I Live” tour on the road in support of her current “Sex & Cigarettes” album.  The tour begins on January 19 in Columbia, SC and will make a stop at Newark, New Jersey's Prudential Center on Friday, February 8, 2019 at 8 p.m. Special guests for this concert will be SWV, known for their string of top R&B hits selling more than 15 million albums and Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds' award–winning, multi-faceted performer, writer and producer credited for of such megastars as TLC, OutKast, Usher, and Toni Braxton. Toni's “Sex & Cigarettes” album entered the charts in the Top 5 and the “As Long As I Live” single was #1 on the charts for nine weeks. Baryshnikov Arts Center (BAC) concludes its Fall 2018 season on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at 7:30pm with Quodlibet Ensemble: Music by Biber, Martynov + Sharlat at BAC's Jerome Robbins Theater (450 W. 37th Street). Quodlibet (Latin for 'whatever pleases') Ensemble is a string chamber orchestra of some of today's most sought-after musicians who come from top string quartets as well as period and new music groups. Highlighting their musical diversity, the ensemble performs an eclectic evening of classical music that spans different time periods and styles.

The nine remaining celebrities have spent the week learning all of the bloodcurdling tricks that it will take to treat the viewers to some terrifyingly fun dances, as "Halloween Night" comes to "Dancing with the Stars," live on MONDAY, OCT. 29 (8:00-10:00 p.m. EDT), on The ABC Television Network, streaming and on demand.

The Fizz have teamed up once again with Mike Stock to produce their FIRST ever Christmas record: Christmas With The Fizz, out on MPG Records on 16th November 2018. 

Betty and Jughead aren't the only ones getting frisky over murder mysteries anymore.

Due to the illness of multiple cast and crew members, Terrific New Theatre has made an eleventh-hour decision to cancel its production of "Grace & Glorie," which was scheduled to open this week. In its place, "Having Our Say: The Delany Sisters' First 100 Years" will open Thursday, Oct. 25, and run through Nov. 4. It will be the second production of TNT's 33rd season. To fill out the canceled production's three-week run, Birmingham favorite Norton Dill - a director, musician and performer - will bring his one-man show, "… and then I Got My Uke," to the TNT stage for three performances Nov. 8-10.

Stage Coach Players of DeKalb, Illinois is set to take the stage for their fall musical production of JEKYLL & HYDE, featuring music by Frank Wildhorn, and book & lyrics by Leslie Bricusse. Robert Louis Stevenson's classic allegory of good vs evil is brought to life through gothic aesthetics and a thrilling score ('This is the Moment', 'Once Upon a Dream',, as Dr. Henry Jekyll accidentally releases his murderous alter ego Edward Hyde.
