Get Ready For Something Big! NSMT Presents HAIRSPRAY

Bill Hanney's award-winning North Shore Music Theatre (NSMT) concludes the 2018 Subscription Season with Broadway's big, fat, hit musical, HAIRSPRAY, playing for two-weeks only from Tuesday, October 30 thru Sunday, November 11, 2018. 

New Musical Comedy THE EVOLUTION OF MANN Opens Off-Broadway, 10/4

Nancy Manocherian's the cell (Artistic Director, Kira Simring), who produced last season's critically acclaimed World Premiere musical Bastard Jones, presents the New York Premiere of THE EVOLUTION OF MANN, a musical featuring music & lyrics by Drama Desk nominee Douglas J. Cohen (Children's Letters to God, The Opposite of Sex) and book & lyrics by Dan Elish (13: The Musical) based on his novel, Nine Wives.  Directed by Joe Barros (Bastard Jones), the production stars Max Crumm (Grease, Disaster!) in the title role, with Allie Trimm (13: The Musical and Bye Bye Birdie on Broadway) and Leslie Hiatt. Now in previews, opening is slated for Thursday, October 4.

Out Of Box Theatre Presents EVIL DEAD: THE MUSICAL

Evil Dead the Musical returns to Out of Box Theatre for a third year with a new cast, new set and new up-to-date references that will leave you screaming with laughter. Sam Raimi's cult classic is an 'All Guts, All Glory' musical interpretation of Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2, and Army of Darkness features songs like 'All the Men in My Life Keep Getting Killed by Kandarian Demons,' 'Ode to an Accidental Stabbing,' and 'Do the Necronomicon.' This musical is not for the faint of heart, but is sure to leave your screaming with laughter.

Teatro Vista Announces Full AMERICAN JORNALERO Run

American Jornalero, a Chicago premiere by Ed Cardona Jr. about a group of Latinx immigrant day laborers who are confronted by self-styled America First vigilantes, is Teatro Vista's official entry in DESTINOS, the 2nd Chicago Latino International Theatre Festival.

BWW Review: Arizona Regional Theatre Presents JEKYLL AND HYDE

With the launch of their new company, Arizona Regional Theatre, co-directors Kayla Etheridge and Kimberly Sheperd have aimed high and hit their mark with a commanding production of JEKYLL AND HYDE, THE MUSICAL. CAP UCLA Presents Josh Fox's THE TRUTH HAS CHANGED Oct. 27

UCLA's Center for the Art of Performance (CAP UCLA) presents Emmy-winning and Oscar and Drama Desk Award-nominated filmmaker, playwright and activist Josh Fox (Gasland) in a filmed live solo performance of his new theater work, The Truth Has Changed, ahead of the U.S. midterm elections on Saturday, Oct. 27 at 8 p.m. at Royce Hall.

BWW Review: CTC'S Delightful LAST STOP ON MARKET STREET Encourages More 'Dancing in Life.'

Dancing and energizing music imbue life with joy in the Midwest premiere of Children's Theater Company's Last Stop on Market Street this September. Produced as a co-commission with Chicago Children's Theatre and based on the Newbery Award Winning book written by Matt de la Peña, Last Stop on Market Street charms and delights audiences. Directed by Henry Godinez, this exuberant production recreates the adventures a seven year old boy encounters when he visits his Nana for the weekend. Nana lives in a neighborhood teeming with a wide variety of personalities and new experiences CJ is unfamiliar with and often wary of--Including the reggae music and 'laying some sugar on his Nana,'which Nana then explains means to kiss her. 

City Theatre to Stage PIPELINE By Dominique Morisseau

City Theatre is thrilled to announce the details of the second show of the season: Pipeline by Dominique Morisseau. Pipeline is a powerful and poetic chronicle of injustice that exposes the cracks in our education system. It is directed by City Theatre's Artistic Producer, Reginald L. Douglas, and will run on the City Theatre Main Stage, October 27 - November 18, 2018. Tickets are on sale now.

ABC Announces the Cast of Celebrity Kids for DANCING WITH THE STARS: JUNIORS

“Dancing with the Stars: Juniors” welcomes 12 celebrity kids and professional junior ballroom dancers to the ballroom floor. The youngest cast ever is sparkling up their wardrobe, breaking in their dancing shoes and readying themselves for what will be an unforgettable journey. The competition begins with the two-hour season premiere, SUNDAY, OCT. 7 (8:00-10:00 p.m. EDT), on The ABC Television Network, streaming and on demand.

The hysterical, gory tradition of Evil Dead: The Musical is returning to the City Theatre starting September 27th inside Hockeytown Cafe in Detroit. The cult classic is a favorite here in the Motor City, which is the reason it is back for a tenth season packed full of talented local cast members - some brand new and others excitedly welcomed back. Evil Dead: The Musical is based on Sam Raimi's 1980's cult classic films and have all the horror, gore, and theatre campiness that audience members want. Lifetime Announces 'It's a Wonderful Lifetime' Programming Slate

Christmas is coming early this year! Lifetime sleighs the 2018 holiday season this year with the network's It's a Wonderful Lifetime lineup, featuring 14 all-new original movies and nine acquired films. Kicking off on November 21 with a special week featuring five nights of premieres, each week of the holiday season will feature new movies every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, it was announced today by Tanya Lopez, EVP, Movies, Limited Series and Original Movie Acquisitions, Lifetime and LMN.
