This spring and summer, the Charlotte Symphony (CSO) is  bringing live music to communities throughout the Charlotte region – for free! Highlights  include the Orchestra’s debut at Little Rock A.M.E. Zion Church, outdoor concerts at five local  parks, and chamber music performances at Amity Presbyterian Church and the recently opened  Five Points Plaza. 

The Wallace Foundation today announced 18 arts organizations of color* will participate in the first phase of a new five-year arts initiative, part of the foundation's efforts to foster equitable improvements in the arts. Each organization will carry out an individual project to address a strategic challenge they are facing. Researchers will document their work with the aim of developing useful insights about the relationship between community orientation, resilience, and relevance.

Pacific Opera Project will end its 2021-22 'Fairytale Season' with a site-specific production of Stephen Sondheim's Into the Woods at Descanso Gardens, one of Southern California's premiere outdoor spaces, with six performances on July 8 to 10 and July 15 to 17, all at 7:30pm.

De meeslepende musical over een 'modern family' uit New York in de jaren '80, is vanaf 23 juli t/m 13 augustus exclusief te zien in de Wim Sonneveldzaal in DeLaMar in Amsterdam. De voorstelling is vertaald en geregisseerd door Koen van Dijk en Marco Braam is verantwoordelijk voor de arrangementen en muzikale leiding. Chiara Re maakte de choreografie.

Milton Keynes Theatre announced today that comedians Paul Chuckle and Aaron James will join the line-up of this year's magical pantomime, Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs, along with Charlotte Haines in the titular role of Snow White and Dale Mathurin as the Prince.

Two legends in experimental theater – the iconic writer/director Martha Clarke and the Tony Award-winning La MaMa ETC – will collaborate for the first time when La MaMa presents the world premiere of Ms. Clarke’s newest full-length work, GOD’S FOOL.

The Atlantic Theater Company opened the world premiere production of The Bedwetter, a new musical with a book by Drama Desk Award winner Joshua Harmon and Emmy Award winner Sarah Silverman, on Monday, May 23.

The 20-date outing, featuring special guests No Resolve and GFM, kicks off September 8th in Columbus, OH and will travel throughout the U.S. and Canada stopping in such cities as Louisville, Pittsburgh, Milwaukee, Cincinnati, Charlotte, Richmond, Baltimore, Montreal, Toronto, and Philadelphia before wrapping October 10th in Virginia Beach.
