Disney Networks to Air ALADDIN Throughout this Weekend in Honor of Robin Williams

In fond remembrance of one of the world's greatest and most beloved actors, Robin Williams, Disney's animated movie 'Aladdin' will be presented SATURDAY, AUGUST 16 and SUNDAY, AUGUST 17 on Disney Channel, Disney XD and Disney Junior. Williams voiced the 1992 film's treasured character, Genie.

Tony Award-Winner Harvey Fierstein to Host Broadway Salutes, 9/23

The Broadway League and The Coalition of Broadway Unions and Guilds (COBUG) have announced that four-time Tony Award winning playwright and actor Harvey Fierstein will host the sixth annual Broadway Salutes event on Tuesday, September 23rd. This public celebration honors the countless professionals who have made Broadway great. In this industry-wide celebration, theatre professionals will receive special recognition for having worked 25, 35, and 50+ years on Broadway.

Broadway Week Will Return in September; IF/THEN, ALADDIN, CABARET & More to Participate

NYC & Company, New York City's official marketing, tourism and partnership organization, today announced that Broadway Week will return this fall September 1-14. Broadway Week gives theatergoers the opportunity to purchase two-for-one tickets to 21 of Broadway's top shows for performances September 1-14. Tickets will go on sale starting at 10:30am on August 18 at nycgo.com/broadwayweek.

Broadway to Dim Lights Tomorrow in Memory of Elaine Stritch

The Broadway community mourns the loss of actress and singer Elaine Stritch, who passed away today at age 89. The marquees of Broadway theatres in New York will be dimmed in her memory tomorrow night, Friday, July 18th, at exactly 7:45pm for one minute.
