Broadway Will Dim Lights Tomorrow in Memory of Producer Elliot Martin

The Broadway community mourns the loss of Tony Award recipient Elliot Martin, who passed away on May 21st at age 93. The marquees of Broadway theaters in New York will be dimmed in his memory on Friday, June 2, 2017, at exactly 7:45pm for one minute.

Two of Overture's Tommy Awards Recipients Headed to 2017 Jimmy Awards

Out of 29 students auditioning 'Outstanding Leading Performer' Tommy Award recipients, two were selected to advance to the National High School Musical Theater Awards (NHSMTA), also known as The Jimmy Awards, held in New York City on Monday, June 26th at 7:30PM.

Tituss Burgess to Host 2017 STARS IN THE ALLEY Concert this Friday

STARS IN THE ALLEY has just announced that stage and screen actor Tituss Burgess will host the free outdoor concert that will take place on Friday, June 2 at 1 PM in Shubert Alley, between Broadway and 8th Avenue and 44th and 45th Streets.

The Broadway League 2017 LEAGUE AWARDS Honor Excellence in Broadway Touring

The annual Broadway League Awards, honoring excellence and achievement for Touring Broadway, were announced on Tuesday, May 16 during the Broadway League's 2017 Spring Road Conference. First presented in 1992, the Broadway League Awards recognize the contributions of those who have displayed exemplary service to the Broadway industry and are considered innovators of their craft.

2016-17 Season Becomes Highest Grossing in Broadway History; Passes 13 Million in Attendance for Third Year

The Broadway League has released end-of-season statistics for the 2016 - 2017 season, which began week ending May 29, 2016 and ended May 21, 2017. For the 2016 - 2017 season, total attendance reached 13,270,343 and Broadway shows yielded $1,449,321,564.64 in grosses, making it the highest grossing season in Broadway recorded history and second-best attended season on record. All new and continuing productions ran a total of 1,580 playing weeks.

Dallas Theater Center Honored with 2017 Regional Theatre Tony Award

The Tony Awards Administration Committee has announced that based on the recommendation by the American Theatre Critics Association, that the Dallas Theater Center in Dallas, TX, will be the recipient of the 2017 Regional Theatre Tony Award.
