The cast and crew can hardly contain their excitement as the world of Jane Austen is coming to life this Thursday at Lee Street theatre! 

Travel back to a time of dazzling balls and dashing romance with the Center for Faith and the Arts' St. Thomas Players' production of Pride & Prejudice opening July 20 at Lee Street theatre! 

Sparks of a different sort are flying at Lee Street theatre with the premier of Pride & Prejudice on July 20th! What better way to compliment the fireworks than with tickets to see the Center for Faith and the Arts' St. Thomas Players' production of Pride & Prejudice?

Jane Austen's enduring novel of romance, class, and society comes to stage in the popular Jon Jory (Actors' Theatre of Louisville) adaptation. The play is a delightful take on the novel, complete with all of the wit, love, and charm of the original. Performances are June 22 thru July 16, 2017. Thursdays through Sundays @ 8pm. Cabaret Artists Chad M. Ryan and Brooke M. Haney's first collaborative endeavor, Brooke and Chad Are… Just as Gay as You. (A Queer Cabaret of Chaos and Clarity), premieres this year during Pride Week on Tuesday, June 20th at 6:30 pm at the Duplex. Created by Haney and Ryan from their combined personal "GAY" experiences, the show explores the themes of queerness and identity and the unlikely friendship between a Gay man and a Queer woman, all under their shared love of music and storytelling. Filled with chaotic  humour, truth telling vulnerability and occasional crisp clarity, the evening is sure to be a 'gay ol time.'  The duo has also partnered with Shining Hope for Communities to raise money and build awareness for Margaret's Safe Place, a project of Shining Hope. To that end, a portion of the proceeds from every ticket will go to support Shining Hope.

The stunning World Premiere of Douglas Martin's Pride and Prejudice by the American Repertory Ballet (ARB) was performed at Princeton's McCarter Theater on Friday, April 21st and Saturday, April 22nd. Martin, the company's Artistic Director, has created a fabulous production that brings Jane Austen's beloved 1813 classic novel to the stage.

Defibrillator today announces the full cast for the UK premiere of Speech and Debate by Stephen Karam whose play The Humans won four Tony Awards in 2016, including Best Play.

IAM Theatre Company has announced its fall production--the National Premiere of Pride and Prejudice - The Musical, to run at the Southside Theatre at Fort Mason Center from September 23rd to October 9th. Pride and Prejudice - The Musical, based on Jane Austen's famous novel, features lyrics and music by Marin County's two-time Emmy Award winning Rita Abrams, with book by best-selling San Francisco author Josie Brown. The show is directed by Lexie Papedo Gasparini. This will be the musical's first production in the United States since its recent world premiere in London.

Full casting is announced today for Regent's Park Open Air Theatre's acclaimed production of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice which, after sell-out performances in 2013, returns this year to conclude the 2016 Summer Season ahead of a major UK Tour in September. Opening at the Churchill Theatre, Bromley, the tour will then visit Norwich, Cambridge, Salford, Leicester, Woking, Truro, Birmingham and Richmond, with further dates in 2017. There will be a press night at the Churchill Theatre, Bromley on Thursday 22 September at 7.30pm.

The American Secretary of Defence, Donald Rumsfeld's famous response to the looting of Baghdad at a press conference in April 2003 provided the title for David Hare's play. First performed at the NT in 2004, the play explores the extraordinary events leading up to the invasion of Iraq.

When Sir John Chilcot stepped up to the mic to deliver his long-awaited verdict on the 2003 invasion of Iraq, he did so calmly, steadily, but with forensic and devastating analytical precision. David Hare's STUFF HAPPENS, which beat Chilcot to the punch by some 12 years, is similarly measured, mixing detailed documentary re-enactment with imagining of what went on behind closed doors.

The National Theatre has today announced full casting for David Hare's STUFF HAPPENS, which returns to the National Theatre on 6 July, the day the Chilcot Inquiry report is published.
