Cincinnati Playhouse to Present PRIDE AND PREJUDICE, 3/8-4/5

Romance is in the air at the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park as Jane Austen's masterpiece PRIDE AND PREJUDICE, adapted for the stage by Joseph Hanreddy and J.R. Sullivan, comes to life on the Robert S. Marx Theatre stage March 8 to April 5.

PRIDE & PREJUDICE Opens November 8th at Lakewood Playhouse

The Lakewood Playhouse will present SECOND SHOW of our 75th ANNIVERSARY SEASON: 'PRIDE & PREJUDICE' by Jane Austen (Adapted by Joseph Hanreddy & J.R. Sullivan). The Play will be performed on Fridays, Saturdays at 8:00pm and Sundays at 2:00pm. Performances will be November 8th - December 1st, with Special Showings at 8:00pm on Thursday, November 14th (Pay What You Can Night)and 8:00pm on Thursday, November 21st, ('Pay What You Can' Actor's Benefit). Our Ticket Prices are $25.00 (General Admission), $22.00(Military), $21.00 (Seniors) and $19.00 (Students/Educators).

Erin Krakow, Ivy Beech and More Join The Guthrie's PRIDE AND PREJUDICE

The Guthrie Theater today announced complete casting for its summertime romance Pride and Prejudice adapted for the stage by Simon Reade based on the novel by Jane Austen in the 200th anniversary of its publication. The production will be directed by Joe Dowling and will feature Erin Krakow (Guthrie: The Importance of Being Earnest; Off-Broadway: The Shanghai Gesture, Prometheus Bound; Television: "Army Wives") as Miss Elizabeth Bennet along with previously announced Vincent Kartheiser (Guthrie: A Christmas Carol, Henry V, Henry IV; Regional theater: Death of the Novel; Film: Untamed Heart, In Time; Television: "Mad Men") as Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy.

IF ONLY Premieres at Minerva Theatre, Chichester in June

Angus Jackson - director of the 2013 Olivier Award-winning production Goodnight Mister Tom - returns to Chichester with the world premiere of If Only by David Edgar. This political drama is described as a witty and astute exploration of the moral dilemmas at the heart of coalition government.

Kicking off subscriptions for its 29th Season, Austin Shakespeare announces Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice at the Long Center's intimate Rollins Theater tonight, Nov. 7-25. The professional (Actors' Equity) company brings back award-winning actress Liz Beckham now as the smart, delightful "Elizabeth Bennet." Beckham recently won the Austin Critics Table award Best Actor for the company's production of Tom Stoppard's Arcadia last spring.

It is a truth universally acknowledged that any audience member in possession of a show ticket must be in want of a good show. However little known the feelings or views of such an audience member may be on his or her first entering a theatre, this truth is so well fixed in the minds of the relevant actors that any attendee is considered as the rightful "property" of some one or other of hours of entertainment.

Royal Court Theatre Productions and Ambassador Theatre Group's rewritten production of POSH opened last night at the Duke of York's Theatre. Check out the photos below of the cast and creative team arriving at the show and its after-show party at The Gladstone Library. Audience members for the opening included Twiggy, John Barrowman, and Tamsin Grieg. The show, which is the first in The Royal Court's West End season this year, is scheduled to run until August 4, 2012.

West-End POSH Cast Announced, Runs from May 23

Royal Court Theatre Productions and Ambassador Theatre Group today announced the cast and creative team for their upcoming production of POSH, Laura Wade's searing take on Britain's classes, old money and the ultra privileged. Lyndsey Turner directs. The show, which is the first in The Royal Court's West End season this year, is scheduled to play at the Duke of York's Theatre from May 11 to August 4, 2012.

Whole Backstage Theatre's Pride and Prejudice Closes

The Whole Backstage presents its winter season production of Pride and Prejudice through February 19 under the direction of Will Smith. Evening performances begin at 7:00 pm with Matinee's starting at 2:00 pm. This romantic comedy, by Jon Jory, based on Jane Austen's classic novel, is being directed by Will Smith of Guntersville, and features Jon Brown and Kayla Harper, both of Arab, in the lead roles. Ms. Harper is playing Elizabeth Bennet, the heroine on the story, while Mr. Brown portrays Mr. Darcy, her love interest.
