With a successful Berkeley world premiere under its belt, the new musical Kiss My Aztec! headed to the southern end of California for a late summer run at the famed La Jolla Playhouse.
KISS MY AZTEC! is both a title and sassy reply in this revisionist musical tale about the Aztecs, and all those uninvited Spaniards that keep arriving and offers an entertaining, and energetic spoof on Latinx history now playing at The La Jolla Playhouse.
Due to demand, Berkeley Rep has announced that the world premiere musical of Kiss My Aztec! will extend for an additional week of performances. The high-energy show directed by Artistic Director Tony Taccone and co-written by Taccone and John Leguizamo was originally scheduled to close on July 14, but will now run through Sunday, July 21.
