New Ohio Theatre's NYC Indie Theatre Film Festival has announced the lineup for their 2023 hybrid in-person and online film festival.

The Sanderson Sisters bewitched Sony Hall as part of Jay Armstrong Johnson's annual Halloween concert-meets-party I Put a Spell on You: ALIVE at Sony Hall, presented by Kampfire Films and Jay Armstrong Johnson and benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Mila Jam, the transgender singer, songwriter, dancer, actor and LGBTQ activist, joins the cast of  I Put a Spell on You: The Sanderson Variant, Jay Armstrong Johnson’s annual love letter to the cult-classic film Hocus Pocus.

On The Quays will present REEMERGENCE: LIVE, a night of music, dance, and drag inspired by their visual album, REEMERGENCE, at Chelsea Music Hall at 7pm EST on Monday, October 25th. This event is free to the public.

A bewitchingly cinematic extravaganza awaits when I Put a Spell on You, the annual sold-out Halloween concert-meets-party, streams online beginning at 8 pm Eastern on Thursday, October 28, 2021. The virtual Halloween blowout, is this year dubbed “The Sanderson Variant'.

The cast is made up of six highly-acclaimed opera singers, including Phillip Bullock, Molly Dunn, Raúl Guitiérrez, Kofi Hayford, Rachelle Pike, and Jaime Webb. They will be performing repertoire from operas including La Traviata, La Boheme, Carmen, Rigoletto, and more.

Reemergence is a 5-chapter Queer experience that spans 5 different time periods through the artistic lens of 5 different directors -- Darren Lee (Pacific Overtures, Miss Saigon), Catriona Rubenis-Stevens (e.ro.sion), Nicola Murphy (Stop/Over), Zhailon Levingston (Tina, Broadway Advocacy Coalition), and Matt Engle (Much Ado About Nothing).

The Jersey City Theater Center will host numerous pop-up performances, virtual tours, site visits and gatherings (both in-person and online) as part of the daylong fundraising event #Hudsongives, on Thursday May 13.

New Ohio Theatre's annual New York Indie Theatre Film Festival (NYITFF) a?" a unique presentation of film works by New York theatre makers a?" returns in 2020 with a stellar lineup, including a special screening of a feature directed by downtown legend Charles Busch, with a talkback with the artist, and a reading of a new screenplay written and directed by playwright, filmmaker, and author Brooke Berman (Hunting and Gathering). The festival events, including screenings, panel discussions, and social gatherings, will be held at New Ohio Theatre (154 Christopher Street) in NYC's West Village from February 6 to 9, 2020. The second annual ReelAbilities Film Festival: Los Angeles 2019 announced today its lineup of narrative and documentary features as well as short films. The festival runs October 25-27, 2019 at Universal Cinema AMC at CityWalk Hollywood. Kew Gardens Festival of Cinema announced today its film lineup of 110 films and the news that Regal Entertainment Group has signed on to become the lead sponsor for the 2nd annual 10-day event in Queens. While the festival organizers are saddened to leave the Kew Gardens Cinemas in Kew Gardens, they are very excited for what this means for the future of the film festival. For it's sophomore year, Kew Gardens Festival of Cinema will be moving into its new home at Regal Entertainment Group's UA Midway Stadium 9 in Forest Hills, Queens. From August 3rd to August 11th guests can enjoy films exhibited by state of the art projection and sound equipment in the comfort of Midway's recliner seats. The Opening Night Film at the Midway will be the New York Premiere of Ari Gold's award-winning and critically acclaimed “The Song of Sway Lake” starring Rory Culkin on Friday, Aug. 3rd at 6:30pm. On Sunday, August 12th, the festival's Awards Dinner Gala returns to Terrace on the Park in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park.
