SILENCE! THE MUSICAL is a 2005 musical created by Jon and Al Kaplan and Hunter Bell as a parody of the 1991 Academy Award-winning film The Silence of the Lambs. The project began in 2003 as an internet musical made up of nine songs that retold the entire story. The audio tracks became so popular that a stage production was conceived and mounted. The show has received awards and accolades including Outstanding Musical (New York International Fringe Festival), Best New Musical (Off Broadway Alliance), and Top Ten Plays and Musicals (Time Magazine). This production from Doctuh Mistuh Productions is a remount of their 2014 B. Iden Payne award winning Best Musical production. It also won B. Iden Payne Awards for Best Actress and Best Director

Baz Luhrmann's all-new music-driven drama THE GET DOWN premieres part-one globally on Netflix today, August 12, 2016 at 12:01am PT.

The full cast has been announced for STRICTLY BALLROOM THE MUSICAL, with an international company coming together ahead of the first UK staging of the musical, which is to premiere onWednesday 30 November at West Yorkshire Playhouse, Leeds. (PressNight: Tuesday 6 December at 7.30pm).

Baz Luhrmann revealed that his new series THE GET DOWN has faced multiple production delays and budget over expenditures, but it will all be worth it once viewers see the final product.

I got the opportunity to speak with actors Chris Gibson and Rachel Landon, Stage Manager Lauren Hainley, and Choreographer Eric Dano about SRO's upcoming production of SILENCE! THE MUSICAL. The musical is a parody of the 1991 Academy Award winning film, THE SILENCE OF THE LAMBS starring Jodie Foster and Anthony Hopkins. The show is directed by Chris Patton and stars Chris Gibson, Rachel Landon,Bryan Kaplun, Chaney Moore, Tom Stell, Kiefer Slaton, Maryann Williams, Taelon J. Stonecipher, and Heather Buzonas. SILENCE! In 2006, then Washington National Opera Artistic Director Placido Domingo announced that the Opera would take on their first complete cycle of Richard Wagner's Der Ring des Nibelungen (The Ring of the Nibelung). In the subsequent years, the opera produced the first three of the four-some, but not in quick succession. As the opera and the nation suffered an economic downturn, the complete cycle was never realized. Until now.

Set during the period surrounding the English Civil War, 'When War Ends' (published by AuthorHouse UK) follows Catherine, the daughter of a Puritan strip farmer, and Martin, the Protestant son of a wealthy cloth merchant. As war brews, Martin's brother supports the king; while Martin stands with Parliament. Catherine and Martin's fathers also join the struggle, but Catherine's father is against her marrying a Protestant.

It's official!
