STRICTLY BALLROOM THE MUSICAL is the inspiring story of a championship ballroom dancer who defies all the rules to follow his heart. The classic dance tale straight from down under is on its way topside for a North American premiere in Toronto. The exciting production released a new trailer today, check it out below!

Due to overwhelming audience response, Cloud 9 Theatricals, in association with Lang Entertainment Group and Ray of Light Theatre, announced today the second and final extension of the San Francisco premiere ofSILENCE! The Musical - the "subversively funny and deliciously tasty" award-winning musical parody of "The Silence of the Lambs." Originally scheduled through Saturday, February 25, tickets are now on-sale through its final performance, Saturday, April 1.  The performance schedule is as follows: Thursday through Saturday at 8 p.m. Tickets range in price from $35- $55 and are available online at www.silencethemusicalsf.comand at the Victoria Theatre box office (2961 16th St.) one-hour prior to performance time. Chianti will be on tap at the theater, but at this time, no fava-beans will be made available for public consumption. Ticket prices are subject to change without notice.

A new casting notice from Actors Equity has revealed that a spring staged reading is of Baz Luhrmann's Moulin Rouge is currently in the works.

The first UK staging of STRICTLY BALLROOM THE MUSICAL - based on the much loved film that inspired the world to dance - is to premiere at West Yorkshire Playhouse, Leeds, tonight 30 November 2016, playing a season through until Saturday 21 January 2017 (Press Night: Tuesday 6 December at 7.30pm).

Mile Square Theatre, Hudson County's leading professional theatre, presents a very special fundraising event, The 2nd Annual MST Broadway Cabaret. This just in! Carmen Pavlovic, CEO of Global Creatures, has announced that Baz Luhrmann's revolutionary film Moulin Rouge! will come to the theatrical stage as a new musical with a book by John Logan, directed by Alex Timbers.

SILENCE! THE MUSICAL is a 2005 musical created by Jon and Al Kaplan and Hunter Bell as a parody of the 1991 Academy Award-winning film The Silence of the Lambs. The project began in 2003 as an internet musical made up of nine songs that retold the entire story. The audio tracks became so popular that a stage production was conceived and mounted. The show has received awards and accolades including Outstanding Musical (New York International Fringe Festival), Best New Musical (Off Broadway Alliance), and Top Ten Plays and Musicals (Time Magazine). This production from Doctuh Mistuh Productions is a remount of their 2014 B. Iden Payne award winning Best Musical production. It also won B. Iden Payne Awards for Best Actress and Best Director

Baz Luhrmann's all-new music-driven drama THE GET DOWN premieres part-one globally on Netflix today, August 12, 2016 at 12:01am PT.

The full cast has been announced for STRICTLY BALLROOM THE MUSICAL, with an international company coming together ahead of the first UK staging of the musical, which is to premiere onWednesday 30 November at West Yorkshire Playhouse, Leeds. (PressNight: Tuesday 6 December at 7.30pm).

Baz Luhrmann revealed that his new series THE GET DOWN has faced multiple production delays and budget over expenditures, but it will all be worth it once viewers see the final product.
