BroadwayWorld has just learned that LEMPICKA, which ran at the Williamstown Theatre Festival this summer, is in the midst of a developmental lab. The Broadway-bound musical, directed by Tony nominee Rachel Chavkin, with music by Matt Gould and book and lyrics by Carson Kreitzer, starred Eden Espinosa, Amber Iman, Nicholas Belton, Jon Jon Briones, T. Oliver Reid, Darlesia Cearcy, Natalie Joy Johnson, and Kendyl Ito.

At an SRO ceremony held at Zion Lutheran Church in Pittsfield, the Board of the Berkshire Theatre Critics Association presented the Berkshire Theatre Awards on the evening of Monday, November 12, 2018. This was the third year the awards have been presented to honor and celebrate the excellence and diversity of theatre in the greater Berkshire region.

Theater veterans turned co-creators Constance Zaytoun and Marc Stuart Weitz serve-up plenty of laughs with their new comedy-meets-cooking series, CONSTANCE COOKS, premiering as 'Best Pilot' award nominee at the 2018 NYC Web Fest on November 8th.

This week the Berkshire Theatre Critics Association is voting on the final award list in preparation for the Third Annual Berkshire Theatre Awards. The Lark announces that Leah Nanako Winkler, author of Kentucky, Two Mile Hollow, and Death for Sydney Black, will be the 2017-19 recipient of the Jerome New York Fellowship. The fellowship, designed to support an early career writer of extraordinary ability, promise, and vision, provides stipends of $25,000 in the first year and $15,000 in the second, in addition to an Opportunity Fund of $5,000 to be used for purposes of additional creative expenses such as travel, research, and workshops. The fellowship is designed to be a life-sustaining platform of support, allowing the fellow to focus on their craft, and to generate and develop a significant body of work.

On Monday, September 25, 2017, The New York Innovative Theatre Foundation, the organization who for the past 13 years has been dedicated to celebrating Off-Off-Broadway, will present four honorary awards along side the 26 awards for outstanding achievement in theatre.
