Just last night, Drama Desk and Tony Award winner Laura Benanti ('The Sound of Music Live!', Gypsy, Women On The Verge of a Nervous Breakdown) hosted the 59th Annual Drama Desk Awards at The Town Hall (123 W. 43rd Street).

Beautiful-The Carole King Musical, about the early life and career of the legendary and groundbreaking singer/songwriter, just gave an added performance to benefit The Actors Fund last night, April 27 at 8:00 PM. The company of Beautiful donated their time and talent for the performance, for an audience which included cast members from current Broadway shows and other areas of the entertainment community. All the Way, the new play by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Robert Schenkkan, starring BREAKING BAD's Bryan Cranston, opened on March 6, 2014, on Broadway at the Neil Simon Theatre. The play is directed by Bill Rauch, Artistic Director of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, where All the Way began its theatrical life. Signature Theatre is currently presenting the world premiere of THE OPEN HOUSE, by Will Eno and directed by Oliver Butler. All tickets for the initial run of the production are $25 as part of the Signature Ticket Initiative: A Generation of Access. The production opened last night, March 3, 2014, and is now playing through through March 23 in The Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues).
