New York Stage and Film announced today that, following a nationwide search, Christopher Burney will become its next Artistic Director. Additionally, New York Stage and Film's longtime Associate Artistic Director, Liz Carlson, has been promoted to the newly created position of Artistic Producer.

Over the past decade, Two River Theater has presented the world premieres of 15 original plays and musicals-13 of them since the theater's 2011/12 Season, under the leadership of Artistic Director John Dias and Managing Director Michael Hurst.

Celebration presents the first show in its 2019 season, Drew Droege (Die, Mommie, Die!) and Matthew Wilkas starring in the Los Angeles premiere of BORN TO WIN, written by Matthew Wilkas and Mark Setlock, choreography by Janet Roston and directed by Michael Matthews.

Fellowship for Performing Arts announced today its productions for late 2018 and early 2019, marking the company's fourth full season in New York. The season will be headlined by the return of FPA's signature production of C.S. LEWIS' THE SCREWTAPE LETTERS and a revival of Robert Bolt's Tony Award-winning play, A MAN FOR ALL SEASONS, a Machiavellian political-religious drama ripped from today's headlines. The hit comedy A Doll's House, Part 2 by Lucas Hnath, nominated for eight Tony Awards during its 2017 Broadway run, will premiere at George Street Playhouse's current venue, 103 College Farm Road in New Brunswick, NJ, featuring Kellie Overbey (Broadway's The Coast of Utopia) in the leading role of Nora Helmer.

The 24 Hour Plays announced their cast and creative team for The 24 Hour Musicals premiere Broadway event, in partnership with The Lillys. The 24 Hour Musicals will take place on Monday, October 29th at 8 PM at the American Airlines Theatre in Times Square.

Meryl Streep is Honorary Co-Chair. Following a critically acclaimed, sold out run at the Geffen Playhouse earlier this year, the Los Angeles LGBT Center, Andrew Carlberg, and Foment Productions welcome this return engagement to the Renberg Theatre. The opening is on Sunday, October 14, at 7pm and the engagement will run through November 3.

The reviews are in for SELL/BUY/DATE at Geffen Playhouse! A one-woman show ( both written and performed by Sarah Jones), SELL/BUY/DATE opened on February 27th, and has recently been extended through April 15th.

Have you ever wondered what the legal sex industry will look like in the future, given how rapidly our views on personal equality and freedom are changing? Certainly Tony Award-winning playwright and performer Sarah Jones has, given the subject matter of her new play SELL/BUY/DATE in which she takes on the role of an instructor presenting an honest, moving and even humorous look at the complex and fascinating subject, all while preserving the full humanity of voices seldom heard in the theater. Directed by Carolyn Cantor and brimming with Jones' masterful, multiple, multicultural characterizations, SELL/BUY/DATE asks the audience to participate as students in a study hall as Jones describes the historical research she will be presenting, recorded with futuristic mind-sharing technology which allows people to truthfully share their opinions on human sexuality and what part it has played in their lives as society evolved into an "anything goes" mentality.

The Geffen Playhouse today announced that Sell/Buy/Date, Sarah Jones' critically acclaimed one-woman show, will extend for one week and run through Sunday, April 15. Written and performed by Jones and directed by Carolyn Cantor, Sell/Buy/Date opens tonight in the Audrey Skirball Kenis Theater at the Geffen Playhouse.
