Science is powerful – and HERO ELEMENTARY, a new multiplatform animated PBS KIDS series, co-produced by Twin Cities PBS and Portfolio Entertainment, will help spark a love of science among kids nationwide when it premieres June 1, 2020 on PBS stations.

Today, PBS KIDS announced a new animated series, HERO ELEMENTARY, set to premiere in the summer of 2020.  HERO ELEMENTARY is a school for budding superheroes, where kids learn to master their innate powers, like flying and teleportation, while exploring science along the way. HERO ELEMENTARY aims to give children ages 4 to 7 the tools to solve problems by thinking and acting like scientists and igniting their natural curiosity and empathy. This new multiplatform series, co-produced by Twin Cities PBS and Portfolio Entertainment, will debut nationwide on PBS stations, the PBS KIDS 24/7 channel, and PBS KIDS digital platforms. 

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) today announced the winners of the 45th Annual Daytime Creative Arts Emmy Awards. The gala was held at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Pasadena, Southern California.

Last night, June 20, The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) announced the winners of the 41st Annual Daytime Entertainment Creative Arts Emmy Awards in a sold-out, grand gala for over 1,200 attendees at the Westin Bonaventure, in downtown Los Angeles. The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) today announced the nominees for the 40th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards.

In April, the iconic children's television series Sesame Street –broadcast in more than 150 countries and seen by over 120 million international viewers—will visit another icon, Lincoln Center, the world's largest performing arts center, on its popular “People in Your Neighborhood” segment. Inspired by the classic Sesame Street song “The People in Your Neighborhood,” Murray Monster goes on location to interview real people about their jobs. The Lincoln Center segments will showcase the New York City Ballet, The Juilliard School, the New York Philharmonic, and the Metropolitan Opera. Sesame Street airs regularly on PBS (check local listings), and the first Lincoln Center segment, “People in Your Neighborhood: Ballet Dancer,” airs April 4th. Each segment will also be accessible on Sesame Street's YouTube Channel in advance of its air date.

Amongst the winners were several with Broadway backgrounds: Bill Sherman (composer) and Chris Jackson (lyricist) for Sesame Street's original song 'What I Am' and Willie Reale as a co-executive producer of The Electric Company on PBS.

Sesame Street, the world's largest informal children's educator, celebrates its 40th birthday on November 10, 2009, the exact day the series debuted on television four decades ago, with everything you love about Sesame Street and more: new block format, new show open, new nature curriculum and our new First Lady Michelle Obama!

Only Make Believe honored the Sesame Workshop with the first annual Only Make Believe Community Award and Bon Jovi founding member and keyboardist David Bryan with the James Hammerstein Award at their 7th Annual Gala on Monday November 5 at 7PM at the Millennium Hotel's Hudson Theatre.
