Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra pairs exclusive musical performances with delectable international cuisine at LACO la carte, six intimate, elegant fundraising evenings, three each in the fall and spring, celebrating Mexico, Germany and other nations in the spectacular private homes of members of the region's international community. The unique events this fall, each highlighting a single country or theme, include Los Angeles la carte at a luxurious private Beverly Hills residence on October 8, 6 pm; Mexico la carte at the Hancock Park residence of the Consul General of Mexico on October 28, 7 pm; and Germany la carte at the Hancock Park residence of the Consul General of Germany on November 30, 7 pm.

Wagner College Theatre is proud to announce Carlos Garcia Estevez as Artist-in-Residence during Spring 2016. While in residence, Garcia will teach, offer workshops, and direct the world premiere of a new devised work of theatre titled NEW YORK LANDS. DALLAS (SMU) February 3, 2015 -- The Meadows School of the Arts at Southern Methodist University has announced the recipients of its sixth annual Meadows Prize arts residency: the Detroit-based artist collective Complex Movements and Lear deBessonet, the director of The Public Theater's Public Works program in New York City. The Meadows Prize is awarded to pioneering artists and creative professionals who are active in one or more disciplines represented by the academic units within the Meadows School.

Nickelodeon combines the hilarious world of viral videos, physical challenges and slime in a fresh new format with its latest game show creation, WebHeads, premiering daily beginning Monday, June 2 at 6 P.M. In the Heights tells the universal story of a vibrant community in New York's Washington Heights neighborhood - a place where the neighbors you meet at the corner bodega (grocery) feel like family, the windows are always open and the breeze carries the rhythm of three generations of music. It's a community on the brink of change, full of hopes, dreams and pressures, where the biggest struggles can be deciding which traditions you take with you, and which ones you leave behind. In the Heights is the winner of the 2008 Tony Awards for Best Musical, Best Score, Best Choreography and Best Orchestrations. This production is the semi-professional Utah premiere.
