Boldly continuing its push for quality long-form event series, Fox Broadcasting Company (FOX) announced today a series order for BROADCHURCH (working title), an American version of the the U.K.'s most-watched new drama of the year.

Variety reports that Terrence Howard has joined the cast of M. Night Shyamalan's upcoming series WAYWARD PINES. The actor will star alongside previously announced cast members Matt Dillon and Carla Gugino in the FOX thriller.

The Hollywood Reporter writes that Toby Jones, known for his voice work as 'Dobby' from the Harry Potter films, has joined the cast of FOX's event series WAYWARD PINES.

LCT3/Lincoln Center Theater's world premiere production of A KID LIKE JAKE, a new play by Daniel Pearle, directed by Evan Cabnet, and starring Caroline Aaron, Michelle Beck, Peter Grosz and Carla Gugino, closes tonight at The Claire Tow Theater. A KID LIKE JAKE began previews on Sunday, June 2, ahead of an official opening night on Monday, June 17.

The actress joins Matt Dillon and Melisa Leo for the new event series, slated for a premiere in 2014. Based on the best-selling novel 'Pines' by Blake Crouch and brought to life by suspenseful storyteller M. Night Shyamalan ('The Sixth Sense,' 'Signs'), WAYWARD PINES is the intense new mind-bending event thriller evocative of the classic cult hit 'Twin Peaks.'
