Bill Kenwright, The Classic Thriller Theatre Company and Theatre Royal, Glasgow are pleased to welcome the creepy comedy thriller The Cat and the Canary next week as part of a UK tour.

Bill Kenwright’s Classic Thriller Theatre Company continues with its latest chilling whodunit, the creepy comedy thriller The Cat and the Canary. Following its acclaimed opening in Windsor in January 2020 and highly successful spring tour, the production returns to complete its Autumn tour, which was delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

2020 was Kneehigh’s 40th year and they had planned to celebrate in style, but then the pandemic struck and their plans were scuppered. But, not to be deterred, they’re throwing a livestream bash on Saturday 30th January 2021, inviting audiences to their rehearsal base and spiritual home in Cornwall, The Barns.

Bristol Old Vic today announced the five much-loved hit productions from its back catalogue to watch on-demand throughout lockdown and over Christmas from the comfort of your sofa. 

Wise Children, Kneehigh and Bristol Old Vic, announce dates for the digital tour of Daniel Jamieson's The Flying Lovers of Vitebsk directed by Emma Rice. The production will feature Marc Antolin (Marc Chagall) and Audrey Brisson (Bella Chagall), reprising their roles from the original production.

Following the success of the live broadcast of Romantics Anonymous, watched by more than 20,000 people worldwide, Wise Children today announce their plan to offer live broadcast events as part of all future programming. The online format that they trailblazed for Romantics Anonymous was so successful that the company believe they will continue working in this way, long into the future.

Following the success of the Coronavirus Time Capsule project which saw 20 young people creating a video record of their lockdown experiences, Horsecross Arts has developed three online performance projects for its youth groups to take part in this autumn.

Bristol Old Vic today launched its 2020 programme of work, Year of Artists a?" shining a spotlight on the role of artists in a changing world, and celebrating creativity in us all. Work from some of the most incredible talent in British theatre today (from Emma Rice, Sally Cookson, Joel Horwood and Maria Aberg) sits alongside dazzling new writers and artists (such as Ross Willis and Miranda Cromwell) and opportunities for everyone from across the region, regardless of age, experience or background, to get creatively involved.

Following its top selling run at the Orange Tree Theatre this autumn, Maya Arad Yassur's strikingly original and audacious play Amsterdam will take to the road in early 2020. The three-way co-production, between Actors Touring Company, the Orange Tree Theatre and Theatre Royal Plymouth embarks on a tour that opens in Plymouth in February and stretches across the UK. Amsterdam is directed by Matthew Xia as his inaugural production as artistic director of ATC.

Full tour dates are announced for Kneehigh's phantasmagorical and savagely funny Ubu! A Singalong Satire. As previously announced, the show will play at London's Shoreditch Town Hall in December as the perfect alternative Christmas show. It will then embark on a mini UK tour; travelling to Bristol Marble Factory, The Lowry, Salford and Leeds Playhouse.
