THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS, the most-watched and highest-rated daytime drama for the last 31+ years, has been renewed for four more years, through the 2023-2024 broadcast season, it was announced today by CBS and Sony Pictures Television.

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) and THE TALK exclusively revealed the “45thAnnual Daytime Emmy® Awards” nominations live today on the CBS Television Network. CBS Corporation leads the Daytime Emmy nominations with 76 nods, more than any other company.

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) today announced the nominees for the 45th Annual Daytime Emmy® Awards. The ceremony will be held at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium on Sunday, April 29, 2018 hosted by Mario Lopez, host and star of the Emmy award-winning syndicated entertainment news show, Extra, and Sheryl Underwood, one of the hosts of the Emmy award-winning, CBS Daytime program, The Talk. The Daytime Creative Arts Emmy Awards will also be held at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium on Friday, April 27, 2018. The 45th Annual Daytime Emmy Award Nominations were revealed today on the Emmy Award-winning show, The Talk, on CBS.

On Friday, June 20th, the brightest stars of televisions below the line talent in Daytime gathered at the Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles to honor their own at the 41st Daytime Creative Arts EMMY Awards. Although many of the individuals associated with nominated projects may not have been household names, there were many recognizable personalities such as Ron Howard, George Lucas, Leeza Gibbons, Jack Hanna and even Cookie Monster (David Rudman). On hand to disperse awards to over 50 categories were such noted performers as Melody Thomas Scott, George Chakiris, Ashley Tisdale, Lauralee Bell and June Lockhart, who has started her 81st year as a paid actress that included her role of Maria Ramirez on General Hospital for many years. With today's release of Network television's daytime ratings, CBS'S THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS has marked its 1,300 consecutive week or 25 years as the No.1 daytime drama, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Dec. 2.
