The reviews are in and the critics are raving about the Music Circus production of Monty Python's 'Spamalot.'

The Sacramento Music Circus production of Monty Python's 'Spamalot,' opening at the Wells Fargo Pavilion on July 9, will mark a few firsts. And significantly for the region's largest arts organization, it will be the first time in its history that California Musical Theatre has hosted a regional theatre premiere. The 60th Anniversary Music Circus season opens with 'Spamalot,' the 2005 Tony Award-winning musical, as the first show in the 2010 60th Anniversary season. Playing for an extended run at the Wells Fargo Pavilion July 9 -18, the production features a stellar cast that includes Broadway veteran Gary Beach, who will be playing the lead role of King Arthur.

Casting for the 60th Music Circus season is nearing completion. After auditioning performers in New York, Los Angeles and Sacramento, California Musical Theatre Artistic Director Glenn Casale is finalizing the acting company for the seven-show season at the Wells Fargo Pavilion. The company is expected to include Broadway veterans, including Tony Award nominees, television comedians, up-and-coming young actors and plenty of returning Music Circus favorites. California Musical Theatre presents A CHORUS LINE as the sixth and final show in the 2009-10 Broadway Sacramento season at the Community Center Theater. The national tour of the new production of the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning musical A Chorus Line stops in Sacramento May 19-30. Broadway Sacramento is sponsored by Wells Fargo.

The 2010 Festival of New American Musicals, a three month musical theatre festival, will be held May 16 through August 21 2010, throughout Southern California. Marcia Seligson, Bob Klein, and Linda Shusett are the Executive Producers of the annual festival, now in its third year.

A tuneful, funny musical score meets a giant man-eating plant when Cabrillo Music Theatre's production of LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS devours the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza. One of the longest-running Off-Broadway shows of all time, with a hit movie and a Broadway revival to its credit, LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS will close Sunday, May 2nd. Locally produced exclusively for Southern California audiences, performances take place at the 1,800-seat Kavli Theatre at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, located at 2100 Thousand Oaks Boulevard in Thousand Oaks.

LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE, the new musical based on Laura Ingalls Wilder's beloved series of classic American books, is now enjoying a celebrated 26-city tour throughout the U.S. and Canada.
