What happens to fairy tale characters as they get older? That's the question answered by a new comedy, 'Aging is not a Fairy Tale' by Patricia Goodson.

Producer Laura Elrick is thrilled to announce that acclaimed Meisner Teacher and Director Steven Ditmyer will be directing Al Tapper's Bettinger's Luggage, scheduled to open September 19th, 2023 at AMT Theater.

Si Litvinoff, the visionary producer whose foresight in cinema art led to perennial classics such as Stanley Kubrick's “A Clockwork Orange,” Nicolas Roeg's “Walkabout”, 'The Man Who Fell to Earth,' starring David Bowie, and more passed away peacefully on Monday, December 26, 2022, in Los Angeles, California. He was 93.    

Theater for the New City's award-winning Street Theater Company will open its 2022 annual tour Saturday, August 6 with 'Teacher! Teacher! or PS I Love You,' a rip-roaring original musical which tells the story of a struggling teacher in an underserved neighborhood who puts her life on the line for her kids.

'Aunt Susan and Her Tennessee Waltz' by Toby Armour will be presented by Theater for the New City (TNC) April 28 to May 15.  The play dramatizes the leadership of Susan B. Anthony, Carrie Chapman Catt and Juno Frankie Pearce in the struggle to win the women's right to vote.

From April 7 to April 24 Theater for the New City (TNC) will present HOLIDAY IN HEAVEN, a new musical by Demetria Daniels, with music by Stephen Cornine and directed by Robert Leibowitz.

Wynn Handman, the famed New York acting teacher and Artistic Director of The American Place Theatre, died at home April 11, 2020 of Covid-19 related pneumonia. He was 97.

Veteran comedy screenwriting partners Lowell Ganz & Babaloo Mandel, known for such acclaimed box-office hits as Splash and Parenthood, have been named the recipients of the Writers Guild of America West's 2019 Laurel Award for Screenwriting Achievement, presented to Guild members who have “advanced the literature of motion pictures and made outstanding contributions to the profession of the screenwriter.”
