The Big Anxiety Festival Announces Program

Regional Premiere THE LIFESPAN OF A FACT Opens In Gloucester

Gloucester Stage Company continues its 40th Anniversary Season of professional theater with the regional premiere of The Lifespan of a Fact from August 30 through September 22 at Gloucester Stage Company, 267 East Main Street, Gloucester, MA. Gloucester Stage is the first theater in the country to produce the critically-acclaimed The Lifespan of a Fact since the play's SRO smash hit world premiere Broadway run featuring Daniel Radcliffe, Cherry Jones, and Bobby Cannavale closed in January 2019.

Peter's Alley Returns To Present THE GULF

After a brief hiatus, Peter's Alley returns with a production of Audrey Cefaly's award-winning show, The Gulf. The show follows two women as they attempt to navigate the ever changing waters of their relationship. The Gulf will run Friday, September 13 through Sunday, October 6 at The Writer's Center Theater in Bethesda, MD. 

City Parks Foundation Set Date for 2019 Gala Fundraiser

City Parks Foundation (CPF) is pleased to announce their 2019 Gala fundraiser, taking place Thursday, September 26 in Central Park. Dinner and a concert under the stars will be held at the newly refurbished flagship SummerStage venue while celebrating the organization's 30th anniversary. This year's event will honor Paradigm Talent Agency's Head of Global Music Marty Diamond and ING Americas with Gerald Walker, CEO. Guests will enjoy special performances by internationally renownedsinger-songwriters Sara Bareilles, David Gray and Janelle Monáe in an intimate concert setting.

BWW Review: Languid Production of FRANKENSTEIN Will Have No One Clamoring, “It's Alive!”

The California Premiere of Nick Dear's adaptation of Frankenstein features a heartbreaking performance by Michael Manuel as a creature born innocent but ugly, taught to hate and rebel against humanity. Manuel carries the production on his hulking shoulders, which becomes crippling due to a confounding script and unusually lifeless direction from Los Angeles star director Michael Michetti.

George Clooney's GOOD MORNING, MIDNIGHT Adaptation Adds David Oyelowo

Variety reports that David Oyelowo is will likely star alongside George Clooney, Felicity Jones, and Kyle Chandler in Netflix's untitled adaptation of Lily Brooks-Dalton's 2016 novel “Good Morning, Midnight.' Clooney also directs the feature. 

The Kingston Trio with The Brothers Four and The Limeliters Comes To MPAC In September

Three groups at the center of the 1960s Folk Revival continue to delight fans with their smooth musical sounds: The Kingston Trio ('Where Have All the Flowers Gone,' 'Tom Dooley'), The Brothers Four ('Try to Remember') and The Limeliters ('Take My True Love by the Hand'). Joe Sugg Will Join The Cast Of WAITRESS in London

YouTube star, filmmaker, author, vlogger and 2018 Strictly Come Dancing finalist Joe Sugg will make his stage debut in London's brand-new smash hit musical comedy Waitress at the Adelphi Theatre from 9 September. He will join the West End cast in the role of Ogie, taking over from Blake Harrison, well known as Neil from The Inbetweeners, who will mark his final performance on Saturday 7 September.

Primary Stages Presents World Premiere Of Clarence Coo's ON THAT DAY IN AMSTERDAM

PRIMARY STAGES is proud to announce that tickets are now on sale for the first two productions of its 35th Anniversary season. The season will kick off in the fall with the world premiere of On That Day in Amsterdam, written by Clarence Coo (Beautiful Province (Belle Province)-a?'Yale Drama Prize) and directed by Kareem Fahmy (3/Fifths).
