Tony Award-winning Broadway star, Brian Stokes Mitchell will headline an evening of celebration, titled ?A New Stage for the Moonlight Amphitheatre,? located at Brengle Terrace Park, 1200 Vale Terrace Drive, on Saturday, June 27 from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30pm. The cocktail attire event also includes an hors d?oeuvres and dessert reception and a special tribute by stars of the Moonlight Stage, all for the ticket price of $50, reserved seating only, which can be purchased at VisTix Ticket Office starting on June 15 by calling (760) 724-2110 or online at www.vistixonline.com.
RIALTO CHATTER: Kennedy Center's RAGTIME Looks Set For Broadway Bow

Lynn Ahrens, Stephen Flaherty and Terrence McNally's RAGTIME, which was a critically acclaimed sell out at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. now looks set to bring it's 'new music' to Broadway. While there is no official word or comment an Equity casting notice has been posted to Backstage for a Broadway/Production contract for RAGTIME. The notice states rehearsal and performance dates are to be announced. Equity principal auditions will be held June 22, 24 and 25 while Equity chorus calls are June 26 for dancers and June 23 for singers.
Benanti And Mitchell To Present Creative Arts Tony Awards

Laura Benanti and Brian Stokes Mitchell will host the Creative Arts portion of the 2009 Tony Awards. At 7pm, viewers will be able to login at TonyAwards.com to watch the Creative Arts categories immediately prior to the CBS Broadcast. It is not yet known which awards will fill this segment, however last year's categories included Best Orchestrations and the Design awards.

Broadway legend Barbara Cook will return to the New York Philharmonic for a one-night-only performance Saturday, May 30, at 8:00 p.m., conducted by her acclaimed music director, Lee Musiker. Ms. Cook plans to bring to the Avery Fisher Hall stage songs she has never before performed with the New York Philharmonic, such as Stephen Sondheim's 'Send in the Clowns' from A Little Night Music, selections from Meredith Wilson?s The Music Man, and Sondheim?s ?No One Is Alone? from Into the Woods.
