This winter, the Rose Art Museum at Brandeis University presents Lyle Ashton Harris: Our first and last love, the artist’s first solo museum exhibition in New England in over two decades. Over the last thirty-five years, Lyle Ashton Harris (b. 1965, Bronx, N.Y.) has cultivated a diverse artistic practice ranging from photography and collage to installation and performance art.

The Trisha Brown Dance Company has announced its first choreographic commission in celebration of the legacy of groundbreaking choreographer Trisha Brown.

TDF, the not-for-profit organization for the performing arts formerly known as Theatre Development Fund, has welcomed a new Chair of the Board of Trustees: H. Gwen Marcus. The announcement was made by TDF’s current Chair, Earl D. Weiner, who has held the position since November 2008.

The J (St. Louis Community Center) will welcome Rebekah Scallet as the New Jewish Theatre’s new artistic director. Scallet will begin her New Jewish Theatre career by producing the world-premiere of The Bee Play this September. Scallet replaces previous artistic director Edward Coffield.

Award-winning Broadway playwright Theresa Rebeck will write the book for the Broadway-aimed Working Girl. While she's had more plays produced on Broadway than any female playwright of our time, Working Girl would mark Rebeck's Broadway debut as a book writer for a musical.

Peter Sacks: Resistance, the artist’s first solo museum show, will be presented by the Rose Art Museum, August 25–December 30, 2022.

The GB Public Theater 2022 mainstage season continues Aug.4 – Aug 14 with an evocative, penetrating drama about the vicissitudes and complexities of family dynamics, self-identity and the nature and meaning of love today - Things I Know to be True.

The GLOUCESTER STAGE COMPANY will present the Tony Award-nominated GRAND HORIZONS next in the lineup of its 2022 season. Robert Walsh returns to Gloucester Stage to direct this thought-provoking comedy of marital malaise by award-winning playwright Bess Wohl, running from July 29 to August 21.

William Shakespeare's joyous and popular comedy Much Ado About Nothing will open at Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival, the professional theatre on the campus of DeSales University. The show previews July 13 and 14, opens July 15, and runs through August 7 in the Schubert Theatre at the Labuda Center for the Performing Arts.

Centenary Stage Company and the NEXTStage Repertory present the first mainstage production for CSC's 2022 Summerfest, Rent by Jonathan Larson. The show will run July 7 through 17 in the Sitnik Theatre of the Lackland Performing Arts Center on the Centenary University campus at 715 Grand Avenue, Hackettstown, NJ.

Centenary Stage Company has cast their 2022 Summer Season productions of Rent and The Marvelous Wonderettes, and tickets are on-sale now. Performances of Rent will run July 7 through 17, and performances of The Marvelous Wonderettes will run July 28 through August 7.

After a two-year postponement, the Trisha Brown Dance Company will celebrate its 50th anniversary at The Joyce Theater (May 24-29) with an historical season commemorating Brown’s extraordinary partnership with visual artist Robert Rauschenberg. 

Centenary Stage Company's NEXTStage Repertory's production of Head Over Heels, conceived by & original book by Jeff Whitty, adapted by James Magruder, music & lyrics by The Go-Go's, will finish its run Sunday, May 1. Performances will take place in the Sitnik Theatre of the Lackland Performing Arts Center on the Centenary University campus at 715 Grand Avenue, Hackettstown, NJ.
